Tanani Newa Home

It was my first international visit to Nepal with my parents and Tanani Newa Homestay provided me the exact wholesome experience during the five days stay . Understand Ta + Nani means The Big Courtyard which provided us a window to explore the wonderful Newari culture . The location was very nice and truly liked it for its cultural vibe. Infact I found out the Unseco heritage site of Patan Darbar square the most lively one during the stay at Nepal. The surroundings has so many beautiful Bahal or sacred monastic courtyard as it’s called that we missed few to explore and the hosts always had the nicest recommendations for our explorations . On the last day of our trip Shobha Ji personally took us to one of the ancient Bahals of King Ashok in the immediate locality. My mother and I even got some really nice prayer wheels from their handmade store as well. The hosts Shobha Ji and Dinesh Ji were very gracious and genuine in their engagements throughout our stay that made both my parents feel comfortable and at ease . My mother particularly remarked how beautifully they pay attention to each and every detail during the stay. My father also enjoyed and relished the Patan & Kalinga connection for his continued academic pursuits . Indeed , it felt like home away from home 🙂 🏡

Very friendly hosts, extremely clean and comfy bed. The atmosphere of this place was very peaceful, great to get away from the busy and noisy streets of the city.

Beautiful, very clean and really comfortable. Owners Dinesh and Shova are welcoming, warm and professional. They take great pride in their home and there’s a comforting sense of family values here. The beds have natural fibre sheets and give you an awesome sleep! Everything is thoughtfully done.
