Very convenient for Hearst Castle visit. Continental Breakfast was unexpected, but very nice.

Room was very clean and spacious and the customer service was great. Our beds were very comfortable. Also the coffee and continental breakfast was an added bonus.

The shower in room 210 needs to be repaired, it works fine most of the time, but periodically it makes a loud whining noise.

Property has pretty much have everything, microwave, fridge, coffee etc. Very clean property and walking distance to great restaurants.Most of all, hosts are awesome and very kind.

This is not a criticism, just a suggestion. It would be great if the heights of the beds are bit lower.

The location was great and the people were even better. My husband and I were staying for our anniversary and when they found out, they upgraded our room. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. I would definitely stay here again.

The facility is a little older without many upgrades, but the owners and staff make up for that.

Comfortable and welcoming

Clean room, not fancy, but comfortable. Loved having two sinks. Very nice selection of coffee and bakery items set out for breakfast. We didn’t use the indoor pool, but it looked nice. Owners were very friendly and even made pot of decaf coffee just for me. They obviously enjoy their guests and wanted us to be comfortable.

Parking lot was a little tight.

Great Value: Clean, Comfortable, Quiet

This place is an excellent value. My room was spotless, the bed was comfortable. It was quiet enough that I was able to go to sleep early and get a full 8 hours of sleep undisturbed. Plenty of clean towels, soap, toilet paper, etc. provided. Check in was easy, friendly. The other guests at the property were respectful. The area felt safe and is very scenic. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a budget-oriented, clean, comfortable place to stay.

My only criticism is that the breakfast/coffee service starts a little late for my preference. It would be nice if it were available at 6 am instead of 7:30. I had early starts both mornings of my stay, so was not able to get breakfast/coffee.

Great place, Great time, Great stay

I don't normally expect much from hotels any more. Just look at them as a place to lie my head and continue with my normal operations. The Staff at Coast Riders Inn has changed that. Their level of customer service, communication before, during and after my stay has revitalized my belief that customer service does exist. I have stayed at other locations in the area, although they were good, Coast Riders Inn will always have my future business when visiting the San Simeon/Cambria area.

The location was easy to get to from the highway. A moderate hotel with great customer service. Close to Hearst Castle.

I booked because it had an indoor pool and jacuzzi. The jacuzzi was barely warm and that was disappointing. We are a little older and driving distances and that one aspect is important to us.

Staff is kind the owner is amazing! Such a sweet woman who’s kindness and sincerity made the place feels so much more like being at a home away from home. They were very welcoming upon arrival and checkout was great . I loved the effort they made to make you feel comfortable, you can try they try and make it a personal experience for everyone. Room was VERY clean and i don’t know if they all do but mine had the microwave and fridge retro style! I love that it had a separate freezer from the fridge and a very good size. Loved the stay here, we stayed somewhere else in Monterey that was nearly double the price and half the quality. If you’re in San Simeon or Cambria for the night this is a great stay!!!

Just a place to sleep and leave

Exceptionally clean, retro style room but outdated (not retro) bathroom facilities, claustrophobic and needing upgrades. The location is the middle of nowhere, a couple of restaurants, an old people diners kind and I consider myself old, it was the very black bear even for me.

The staff are great. They are friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. Also, I have stayed at most of the motels in the area and Coast Riders is by far cleaner and the attention to detail with each room is great. Coast Riders is the only motel to stay at.

Extremely friendly and helpful lady at the reception, nice pool and Jacuzzi, in walking distance to several restaurants. We will definitely stay there again!
