One of the best resorts we ever visited!

Everything! Amazing service and great amenities. we had 2 regular rooms and when we arrived we asked to upgrade to one big 2 bedroom suite with private pool. they gave us a great price for the upgrade and it was so worth it. We had special requirements for food and the manager and chef did whatever they could to help us. The kids club and all the facilities are amazing.

Nothing! The only thing that might bother some people is the location. the resort is a bit far from the city and the market. It didn't bother us cause we were happy to stay in the resort.

My staying in Avani was absolutely fantastic

Everything, the room was beautiful and spacious, bathroom was spotless, the breakfast in the morning was amazing with a lot of variety of food, including a lot of fresh fruits that were delicious. The whole staff was fantastic and so nice and welcoming, making you feel like home! I had a massage every day and the ladies were absolute angels! I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay!

A wonderful hotel, great stay

Everything. Avani is the best hotel. The staff is amazing and very friendly and kind. The food was good. The beds are the best and the towers as well. The rooms are comfortable and clean.

Beautiful hotel, beautiful grounds, lovely staff - food could be better.

The hotel grounds are beautiful, the pool was one of the nicest I have seen, the splash pad was great for kids, water was the perfect temperature throughout, the grounds the rooms are also lovely and the staff attentive & sweet.

We each had food poisoning at least once which we highlighted to staff (and had to see the nurse multiple times). We have been to Thailand more than 5/6 times so it’s not that we are new to the local food. Many food options contained pork which was disappointing - although staff were accommodating where possible when we asked for other options. When we were leaving our luggage was only partially loaded into the taxi and half of it was left at the valet (we only noticed 90 minutes into our drive to the airport which left us scrambling around in time to make our flight).

Fantastic for Kids

The facilities for children were excellent - Splash pad, kids' club, climbing wall, arcade, animals etc. The staff were excellent with the kids.

Don't recommend

- Mattress and pillows are super comfortable. - The room was quite nice. - Breakfast provides a good choice of food. - Friendly staff at reception. - Beautiful green area.

I chose this hotel because of good feedback, and i saw the nice kids area on the pics, but in reality, we like below: - Dirty common area. - Strong smell of urine in all toilets of hotel (room, restaurants, reception) - Food at the beach restaurant is not tasty and expensive. Staff made several mistakes with order. We were trying to have dinner in the main restaurant where was Thai buffet, but it was the poorest buffet I've ever seen. So we had to eat again in the beach restaurant. -Kids aqua zone very "tired", staff in food track is not friendly. Kids club is small, there is nothing to do there and smell also is not nice. - The worse think to my opinion was color of white towels in the room, they were so yellow/ brown, like they were used for floor washing before. It was disgusting 🫣.

A relaxing serene enjoyable environment, hard to leave.

This hotel is on par almost with their other hotel @ Anantara Mai Khao Phuket, a slight step under. The staff, the customer service, facilities and the room were all at the same hi-standards. The standards set are of a hi-standards. The breakfast is at anther level again, they set the benchmark for other hotels and resorts to follow. Highly recommended.

We only had a short stay and didn't have the opportunity to take full advantage of the wonderful facilities that is on offer here.

Heaven on earth

Where to start? Lovely resort, clean, great and smiling staff, in great location far from the hustle and bustle and yet full of things to do. 10 minutes drive away from the center. They thought of all the details for you to have the best vacation 🙏🏼 The "only problem" was we haven't stayed there at the end of our trip because it was the best!!

Perfect family vacation with plenty to do in a less crowded part of Thailand

While the property is a bit far away from Phuket airport, the resort does have everything you need to enjoy the beach. Plenty to do if you are an active family, mini golf, archery, pool tables, plus water park and much more. My kids loved it and didn’t want to leave and the shuttle to the night market was perfect for souvenir shopping and dinner out

Nature hugging the Ocean and Family Modern Living

This is my second visit to Avani + Khao Lak two years in a row. This is now my therapeutic retreat for me and my family. My kids are so in love with the place especially the kids club. I was so happy to see that most of the staff that I met last year are still at the resort and working tirelessly to keep up with all their guests’ requests. Please keep up this great work you’re all doing and I’ happy this year I was lucky to enjoy a less rainy weather and swam at the beach most of my stay.

Amazingly relaxing family holiday on a beautiful beach and a fantastic resort

Amazing buffet breakfast - fantastic selection and delicious. Very good wait staff, nice atmosphere and relaxed. Beautiful rooms. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite which was very spacious, very nicely finished, clean and modern. Very nice, luxurious toiletries provided (Marlin & Goetz). Excellent housekeeping services. Beautiful clean beach, multiple pools and multiple restaurants - the pizza oven by the kids play pool was a favourite! Great kids and teens club with different activities and fun games. Gardens are beautifully maintained and bit of fun to see the chickens, ducks, turtle and rabbits.

Nice modern option in Khao Lak although location is quite far from centre

Nice, modern resort with great facilities and beautiful gardens. The standard of hotels generally in Khao Lak is top-rate.

Location is quite far from restaurants/bars/shops, and further from the airport. The beach probably adds to the location in the high season but not in the low season. The 'premier room', while modern, clean and comfortable enough, was a bit on the small side relative to other hotels in Khao Lak. We were also put in a room beside the restaurant, which gave us a somewhat 'boxed-in' feel and was at times a bit disturbing, despite the hotel having low occupancy at the time. Overall, while a nice enough resort, I'd struggle to find compelling reasons to strongly recommend it over some of the better-located and slightly better priced resorts in Khao Lak.
