Golden Paradise Hotel - SHA PLUS

Everything about the place was brilliant, as there were 2 of us we had the 2 bedroom family suite, a room each, comfy beds, great shower, heat and water pressure. Great soundproofing, blockout curtains so the rooms were dark, I haven’t slept so well in years Excellent staff all around. It was in a good location for us away from the beach area, so we hired a motorbike from the hotel, (must have international license).so we were able to get around with no worries. The pool is small but most guests go to the beach .via the hotel shuttle bus so the time we did go to the pool we had it to ourselves. You will find the hotel is at a distance from most things people are in Phuket for, 7-11 is about 10 minutes walk away, and the beach is 15 minutes walk. There are no massage shops or bars close by so if that’s what you want you should stay in Patong or closer to the beach. For us over 60’s who can ride a motorbike this place was perfect. You can always get around by taxi or install the “Grab” app, for food delivery or a ride.

The only disappointment for us was that there were No English TV channels only local Thai channels. No smart tv even though the family suite had 3 Television sets they were not used, even though the staff tried to rectify the issue. I couldn’t plug in a chromecast to stream channels as I couldn’t find a hdmi slot. We just listened to music and used our phones to entertain ourselves.

Понравился номер, девочки с ресепшн всегда заинтересованы помочь. Завтрак хороший. Удобная кровать, хорошее постельное белье. Настроили русские каналы ТВ. Удобный трансфер на пляж и с пляжа!!

Расположение отеля вне пешеходной зоны. Идти приходится все время по дороге.. хорошо что не далеко )) Ну и несколько дорого получилось по стоимости

Сам отель, питание, ремонт, уборка - всё супер. Особенно понравился дизайн в комнатах.

Не дали в аренду байк. То есть сначала дали, уже взяли деньги, паспорт в залог, начали объяснять, как заводить и управлять. Потом 5 метров на пятачке проехался, спросили, ездил ли я раньше , я ответил, что первый раз еду. И тут резко решили, что рановато мне ещё)) Вроде бы по закону нужна категория А на эти байки (более 50 см3), а у меня только АМ, но права они даже не просили) Просто очень не понравилась их позиция по этому вопросу. Вы либо сразу говорите, что не даёте байк туристам, кто ни разу не ездил до этого, либо просите права водительские. Очень непрофессионально и безответственно себя повели, по моему мнению. Ещё минус, что далековато от пляжа, но это терпимо, если ненадолго приехали.

The reviews are a bit misleading, I would say the fair rating is close to 7. 1. Awful location if not the worst on Karon. Hotels on similar distance usually offer free tuk-tuk to the beach. It’s far from everything - the beach is 15 minutes walk (10 if you are a sprinter), good massage is 20 minutes walk, restaurants and supermarkets are down the hill. 2. Average breakfast, the food is cold and the biggest issue there is no freshly brewed coffee, for the price they ask they could put a coffee machine in every room. 3. Unstable Wi-Fi, I was hardly able to use it (thanks God now you can get local esim online). 4. Hard pillows and heavy too warm blankets. 5. There is some issue with the shower - sometimes only the hot water comes in all directions.
