Mountain Love

Great location, lovely views looking over downtown Breckenridge and mountains. Up a hill but free shuttle makes it easy to get around town.

Vacasa is just awful. Especially manager Kyle who I’m still waiting to get back to me after several attempts. Wouldn't recommend them to anyone. We had some serious (read, PATENTLY DANGEROUS) issues that they mostly ignored. When we arrived, there were scary, dangerous exposed wires with raw nails hanging down the middle of the main deck. We called right away and were told someone would come ASAP. No one did that day or the next despite my following up. Finally on the third day, Vacasa’s own repair man came and admitted he had no idea why they were there but called them “terrifying” before he kind of tied them off to the side. Still didn’t feel safe, so we never used the best deck. We also had a member of our group with a broken leg that needed regular icing. The ice machine was broken which we reported ASAP as well. That one was never fixed or addressed. Kyle the manager assured that we’d be compensated for lack of amenities for the deck and ice machine, but the instant we checked out he went totally silent, and I still can’t get a response from him despite following up several times. AVOID VACASA! The property is pretty dated and, besides the kitchen, probably hasn’t been touched in more than 20 years. It’s also spread over several floors with pretty steep stairs, so not a good place for anyone with accessibility challenges. That’s not clear at all from the listing. Finally, the queen bedroom has no windows so feels like a dungeon. TLDR – I guess fine if you need a place with a big group (especially kids who don’t mind odd sleeping arrangements) and want to be close to a secondary, non-base lift. But it’s overpriced for what it is, and Vacasa will NOT help when you run into issues, even scary/dangerous ones, which you likely will with this dated unit.
