Dog-friendly Fisher Hill home with patio and wood stove - walk to the harbor

The location was ideal. We could walk to downtown boothbay.

The location was excellent. Very short walk to the downtown/harbor area, as advertised. Beds were comfortable. Decor was adorable, and suited the location. Great reading nook!

There is no AC. We saw this in prior reviews but Vacasa sent instructions for checking out which included: "Turn the A/C to 70," so we thought they had installed it subsequent to those earlier reviews. They had not. Luckily we were not there during one of this summer's brutal heat waves. I would also recommend seniors think twice about renting this cottage. You have to walk on a grassy slope to get to the front door, which can be tricky when wet. And there are a couple transitions inside that are 1 1/2 - 2" high (trip hazards). My 80 year old mother almost took a header!

Beautiful cottage, nice yard, so close to town

The toilet was backed up from the day we arrived (not from our use). We had to work at unplugging it several times and had to use facilities in town. By the last night there we finally got it unplugged.

Location and space were clean and convenient.

There’s no air conditioning or washer/dryer. This seems like an easy fix (window units or ductless units). Also there’s no paved path to the entrance way which was difficult when trying to get our bags to/from the property.
