Un paraíso para desconectarse y disfrutar la naturaleza

La cercanía y amabilidad de los dueños hacen que la experiencia sea aún más especial. Sus recomendaciones fueron acertadas y poder hacer kayak dentro del hotel fue algo único que amé. El desayuno de doña Ramona es 10/10, auténtico y delicioso. Es un lugar perfecto para desconectarse, no de la vida, sino del ruido, y reconectar con la tranquilidad de la naturaleza. Sin duda, volvería siempre. Todo fue excelente.

I had a wonderful stay at Kibayo! It’s located in a peaceful area, away from the noisy main street, which made for a super relaxing atmosphere. The place is beautiful and thoughtfully designed, with a calm and welcoming vibe, as well as everything needed for a comfortable stay. What made the experience even more special were the amazing hosts — incredibly kind, accessible, and genuinely passionate about sharing the spirit of Cabarete. Thanks to them, I had the chance to extend my stay and discover not only the town but also its vibrant and friendly community. Highly recommend!

The place was calm, relaxing. Nice Breakfast, the pool was nice too and the location it’s very close to Cabarete Beach

Escape into nature in Cabarete

- Very friendly & helpful staff (even helped with a flat tire! & Very responsive to questions on WhatsApp); - nice common area fully in nature including lagoon access and kayaks to use for free; the vibe was a mix between a boutique hotel and hostel :) - breakfast was simple but nice (comparable to other 3* hotels in DR: fresh fruits, coffee, eggs & bread, jam & butter) - free drinking water refill

- Room was quite small compared to other hotels/rooms at the same price point in DR - note that the en-suite bathroom doesn’t have a door - suggestion for the future: cover the lounge furniture during rain (or bring inside) to avoid it being wet when the sun comes back out - because of the fickle weather, the lounge furniture, hammocks and bean bags were wet during our stay. - good to know: the location next to the lagoon is beautiful but it doesn’t mean that it’s a bit of a walk to the main road (down a fairly dark road) - we took the car everywhere when we went into town.

El personal es lo mejor del lugar. Ramona y Celina, además de preparar un excelente desayuno, son super amables y simpáticas. El ambiente del lugar es muy relajado, alejado del ruido de la ruta principal y a 500mts de las playas de Cabarete que, al menos en marzo, estuvieron super tranquilas y casi exclusivas para nosotros.

Lo único que remarcaría es que el baño no tiene puerta y le quita privacidad. Ellos dicen que es para generar mas espacio en la habitación, no comparto esa idea.

De gastvrijheid en de oase van rust die er heerst bij deze accommodatie. Goede aanbeveling om te genieten van een mooie hike die de natuur daar in de buurt te bieden heeft. Ook kun je hier gratis de lagoon ervaren met de kajaks die ze aanbieden.

Fantastic place to relax and unwind

Our stay at Kibayo was absolutely wonderful. The location is perfect—nestled in nature, with a beautiful pool and a charming breakfast area that makes every morning feel special. The rooms are thoughtfully designed to maintain a close connection with the natural surroundings, creating a serene and relaxing atmosphere. The staff was incredibly responsive and helpful, quickly answering our questions on WhatsApp and even arranging a taxi to Punta Cana for us. We also took advantage of the complimentary kayaks and spent an hour paddling down the lagoon—an unforgettable and peaceful experience. While we didn’t have a car, getting around was easy. It’s just a short five-minute walk to the main road, where you can catch a minibus the locals use that runs regularly or flag down a moped or car taxi. Overall, Kibayo is a fantastic place to relax and unwind, with friendly and attentive staff who go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Highly recommended!

L'emplacement delà chambre. Nous avions normalement vue sur le jardin mais en fait il s'agissait du mur du jardin. Accueil inexistant et mauvaise odeur dans le chambre. Nous avons passé une nuit au lieu des 2 prévues donc perdu de l'argent.

Beautiful getaway close to the action of Cabarete

Beautiful location, just close enough to get everywhere quickly, but secluded enough to have a quiet time. Located next to a beautiful lagoon, with kayak and SUP boards available. Everything follows a clearly visible concept, which creates an extraordinary harmony! Loved it!

All together a wonderful experience.

The included breakfast was just delicious. Our family tried all of the choices over the course of our stay and everything was great. The location was peaceful and beautiful and a little removed from the beach resort hype. The room was very comfortable and attractive. Best of all, the owners and staff were just lovely and made us feel right at home.

The pool was a bit small and warm for our tastes but others might appreciate the warmth.

Beautiful and chill environment. Seriously cool!

The entire vibe of Kibayo is chill and positive. The staff is the best! The breakfasts are the best we’ve had in the DR and rate at the top for anyplace we’ve stayed around the world. In the evening, we laid back on beanbags and took in the chill sounds spun by the owner. There was even live music one night. Take the kayak out on the canal that runs through the property. Really fun! We highly recommend Kibayo and plan to return next year.

Truly an Oasis

This location is a gem. The owners were super genuinely friendly. The staff was amazing. They will help you with any needs you have. My brother and I booked only one night at this hotel because we had another reservation with another hotel. I wish kibayo had availability. I would have canceled the other location.

An idyllic little hideaway where tranquility and wonderful service guarantee relaxation.

Kibayo is a little haven, tucked away down a quiet road but close to the restaurants and beaches of lively Cabarete. Every detail, from the gorgeous gardens that extend down to the river, the grass-thatched bar, the delicious breakfasts and the general ambience, gives the impression that that peace, tranquility and excellent service lie at the heart of the operation. We were upgraded to the 'Soul Searcher` room which was charming - simple and calming with a fabulous wrap-around balcony, which meant lots of light and wonderful sunrise views. The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful which added to the pleasure of our stay here.

Absolute gem. Hidden paradise. Clean, beautiful, with all you need close by. Staff treated us so well. Not a thing to complain about. Highly recommended!
