Lack of heating, bathroom light not working

Lovely comfortable unit with enough space for two. Well situated just back from the beach so we could hear the surf at night.

Good location.

Odd entrance.

Location across the road from the beach was great and it is not far into Westport for supplies, restaurants, laundromat and similar.

Unacceptable intrusive noise from Hosts and their personal guests. Trying to sleep while they walked heavily back and forth in their accommodation above was out of the question as was the noise of a crying baby, furniture squeaking, humans coughing and dog claws scampering back and forth across the floor (we thought there were rats initially). We even had to phone them one evening at 10.21pm to politely ask they cease the noise. It appears as if there is no soundproofing between you and them and while we were aware our Hosts lived at the property, that they lived above was an unpleasant surprise. As we were there for four nights, we chose this place expecting it would be quiet, it was most definitely not, it was more what you expected of a Motel. If they woke at 6.30am so did you and you only fell asleep when they went to bed too, around 10 - 10.30pm. We were also concerned that they have many power meter boards connecting various electrical items including under the bed, these are a Fire Risk. Bed also felt tired and lumpy and could do with a topper pad to improve comfort. Overall, we would not return and we certainly did not get value for money - far, far from it!
