About this towable trailer rental
"Rosie the Riveter" is a pristine 2020 Airstream Caravel. The 16 foot Caravel is Airstream's most luxurious and smallest travel trailer. Towable with any SUV with a 5,000 lb. towing capacity and 7-pin trailer hookup.
The Airstream Caravel is an upgraded version of the Bambi, and is fully loaded with sleeping for 4, a propane furnace and cooktop, high-end lithium batteries, solar power, refrigerator, bathroom, shower, and two full extra-long beds. Shower has 15 gallons of available hot water, enough for two showers when fully heated. The Caravel also has a fold-away LG TV with Blu-ray player, a Bluetooth JL Audio 4-speaker system with subwoofer, and a microwave. There is a ducted air conditioning system, but you must be connected to campsite electric power to use this. The Caravel has two battery powered fans and two large wrap around windows with screens and a screen door for additional airflow.
The trailer also has solar-powered colored and white string lights, allowing you to operate the trailer lights for days without draining the trailer battery.
Additional add-ons are available:
- two kayaks with all accessories
- a Blackfin XL paddleboard with electric pump and accessories
- a propane fire pit which connects directly to the trailer propane supply
- a Honda 2200 generator.
- a 200-watt external solar panel
The trailer is also small enough to be towed along maintained dirt roads and is dry-camp ready. The trailer is small and maneuverable enough to fit in a standard campsite and fits in a pull-through parking space when hitched. Echo-wireless brake controller and equalizer weight distribution hitch are available for free upon request for improved towing safety. Note - weight distribution hitch is available for SUV towing only.
We will provide a detailed walk-through tutorial on how to use the Caravel when you pick up. We include detailed instruction manuals for operating all aspects of the Caravel and easy-to-use arrival and departure checklists.
