This is a one-off hotel and worth the trip!

There is little to dislike!

This is not your usual accommodation and it takes a lot of effort to enjoy it. The location is spectacular though, and the staff were absolutely lovely. Mohammed took us on a tour and hike around neighboring villages that was very worth it. You'll sleep in traditional, mud brick rooms and eat delicious, home cooked Omani food. All the meals were super tasty. The views from the property are beautiful and you get to enjoy ultimate silence. There are a number of hikes around the property and that's pretty much all you can do here, hike, rest, read. A very special place.

These are not dislikes but the challenges involved to stay in this property. You need a powerful 4x4 to reach the place and the drive can be somewhat scary, navigating on the edge of dirt roads. There are over 200 steps between the parking and the property, some level of physical fitness is required. Your luggage will be sent down with a pulley system but ideally you'll have the bare minimum with you. The bedroom, sitting room and bathroom are all a short distance from each other. This place is entirely in nature so you can expect some insects in your room (the property supplied us with repellent) toads jumping around the garden, kittens will join you for meals :), etc.

The location is spectacular. It gave me so much peace and comfort, at the same time the cliffs are exhilarating.

so my wifi was not sufficient, it needs another source port away from the main desk area.
