Pros: This apartment is in a great location and the pictures are a true representation of what it looks like. Very nice owners, Carla and Antonio, who are easy to communicate with. Nicely renovated space, large enough with natural light in the main living areas. Comfortable main bed and shower. Nice to have appliances and kettle. Proximity to the local grocery store and “elevator to town” was excellent! Neutral - on the 4th floor up with no lift. So be aware of that if you have mobility issues!

Cons: For those travelers who can sleep anywhere, feel comfortable anywhere, this is a LOVELY apartment and the owners are great. I am a sensitive traveler (a person who is easily bothered by scents, uncomfortable temperatures, distracting sounds, etc). Therefore, these were the cons for me: 1) Barking dogs - some little yappy one seldom heard; a much bigger one that is truly a nuisance is located directly behind and to the left of master bedroom. The large dog barked frequently during the day and evening, up to and including past bedtime…once until 1AM (as another reviewer noted). When I read that in the prior review, I assumed that the occurrence was a “one time thing”—an incorrect assumption. I now assume that the dog’s owner must work nights at least one night/week and doesn’t return home until after 1AM. It's not this airbnb owner's fault, and I doubt they can do much about it, BUT...paying the equivalent of $226 USD/night, I expect a quiet experience. 2) The heating and cooling in the main living area is undersized or underpowered. (The Bedrooms are fine!) So, during much of our visit, the main living area was too cold for our comfort despite having the heat on and wearing multiple wool sweaters. We finally resorted to pulling a comforter off one of the beds and using it on the couch. Plus, in the cold weather, the bathrooms were pretty cold! I imagine if you were here at just the right time in spring and fall, the main living space will be comfortable. I can imagine though in summer that the living space will be too hot for comfort. 3) If you are sensitive to fragrance, please know that there are multiple sachets and perfume sticks/oil around the apartment.

Great apartment, very convenient location and well stocked. Really nice view of the city and the water.

The only thing was there was a really strong stench from the master bedroom's bathroom/shower. Smelled like sewage was backed up in the pipes. The smell was so bad that I had to use the other bathroom in the hallway. Not sure what was going on... the host did mention it was from the river or something. But that made no sense because the other bathroom was fine.
