First Line Beach Apartment

This apartment was in a residential area on cable beach which is fab. There is a small restaurant and cafe on the beach beside the apartment but we didn't use it. The pool area does not have chairs but using a towel on the grass was fine for us. It's also not heated. Santiago was great, he met us and allowed us to check out late which was a life saver. The location is great if you want to be close enough to the centre but far enough for some peace. The centre/old town is a 15-25 minute walk depending on your heat tolerance etc. We just used Bolt & Uber which took 5-7 minutes usually costing 7-11 euro each time between the 3 of us. There are a few garages around but if you want to get to a normal shop you will need to go into the centre. There is underground parking but we didn't use so I cant comment. The apartment is spacious enough with wifi and a TV which you can put YouTube on etc. One room has a double bed and the other a set of bunk beds. Provided a few towels. The kitchen has a big fridge and freezer. Loads of cutlery, no regular cereal bowls though. Private enough balcony without a view but it's fine. Note the pool opens June 1st-30th September 12:30-20:30pm.

The key situation & bathroom We were only given one set of keys between the 3 of us (with 3 keys on keyring as pool requires key, apartment block and apartment door). It was super awkward when we were all doing different things during the day. So there needs to be at least 2 sets. I didn't feel the bathroom was 100% on arrival. And there was only half a roll of toilet roll left which meant we had to prioritise getting that before anything else. The bed covers are very dated so gave off the impression they weren't clean either but I have no actual evidence of that. There is a bath with a shower, no regular shower. The shower head is very dodgy, it doesn't point straight. Instead of a bath matt there was a rug which isnt appropriate for a bathroom. You pay for a cleaner with booking.com so I hope they actually clean it properly and not just run over the place before.

We got what we need. A place to sleep, wash and prepare for the day. We recommend to rent a car to see a lot of the place.

First line, close to the beach and chiringitos

Far from anything non beach related. No shops around, no bars - just 2 chiringitos which open at 12:00.. In the morning there is nowhere to get coffee. And the apartment does not have any coffee machine not even a french press. The selection of dishware is abysmal. No dishwasher. Garage door is operated by key - you have to get out of the car to open to get in and out. Overall will not return.
