Huge Porch House in Rainforest 15 min from Beach

It was a bit way to difficult to find the house, the address was way off, plus since we were in the middle of the woods the phone didn’t had any signal for us to call or text the owner 🤦🏻‍♀️, but we finally after 40 minutes were able to find the house ..!

It was peaceful

So many gates and locks driveway was hard to back into.

Clean, well equipped, lovely peaceful location. Loved sitting on porch and listening to nature. Easy access to El Yunque rainforest. Good selection of games, and kitchen well stocked with everything needed to cook, flat top especially useful.

Worth bearing in mind that if power goes and internet you may not also have cell service in this location (which could be a nice thing!) Luckily other people showed up next door who had cell service and could call host to let them know. Power came right back on within 30 min.

Spacious house set in the rainforest — a truly unique experience, especially with all the natural rainforest sounds around you. It creates a very special atmosphere, though I should mention that for more sensitive sleepers it might feel a bit intense. Also, the houses don’t have glass windows that can be fully closed, which is part of the open rainforest style but good to know in advance.

There was no hot water, which I believe should be clearly stated in the listing. This information was missing at the time of my booking. The shower was completely clogged, and no one came to fix it during our 5-day stay. Some of the kitchen utensils were very limited — there was one teaspoon and one only heavy, blunt knife. We were given the wrong code for the key lock. The contact person did not respond at all, had to contact the owner via e-mail.
