Moon Retreat by Sharjah Collection

It was the best gateway for me and my husband to celebrate his birthday! It’s a great place especially for couples, where you can disconnect from everything and only live the moment with your partner and enjoy every single minute even though there was no tv or anything like that. The pool is very nice and the cooking experience made it even much enjoyable. The staff also were very helpful and kind. I loved the experience and will visit again inshallah.

The way to the reception was very long and had rocks, my car was saloon so I faced difficulties reaching there so I had to drive very slowly which took me a lot of time to reach, however if your car is 4x4 it will be fine.

The dome was spacious for 2 people and had good size toilet and separate large shower. Bed was comfortable and plenty of towels etc provided. Pool was lovely and even heated so could use at night time also. Lights came on around it at night. BBQ was easy to use and the staff member who came to set it up was very helpful. Helpful on WhatsApp if you needed anything. We loved the place and it was such a treat to stay here.

Finding it was a little bit tricky so a sign for when to turn off the main road would be useful. The stay was wonderful until night time when trying to sleep. I developed a bad cough and sore throat within a few hours of arriving. When I couldn’t sleep I checked the air con unit and found the filters were full of dust (pictured) which was disappointing. Once we cleaned them and put them back in the air con worked a lot better but my cough did persist and take a full day to clear up. When I told staff about this on check out they were very apologetic and said it would be checked. Just to note for future stays - I’d definitely recommend the place but check the air conditioning unit for yourself once you check into the dome. The filters slide out easily and you can check if they’re clear or dusty. Otherwise we really loved everything else!

Great escape from the city into the desert. The property is a bit older, but still well maintained. Full privacy with a private pool, and a perfect place for stargazing, even without a telescope.

The only downside — the car entrance from the main road is not easy to find.

Quite and private . Staff are very welcoming and ensure everything is great and to the highest service standards
