The place was really nice. Our room was very clean and spacious, with one bed sliding under the other, a clever use of space. Despite some older comments, we found the bed comfortable. The common area was a good spot to relax, and the owner was kind and helpful, even letting us use the address to receive a package, thank you for that. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. While there isn’t much to do nearby, there are local restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance.

The biggest drawback is the location. Being outside the city center, train fares add up quickly and can cancel out the savings from staying farther out. The kitchen was poorly equipped, with barely any utensils or cutlery, you’ll likely need to bring or buy your own if you plan to cook. Since it’s a share house, the experience depends on other guests. Ours weren’t bad, but not very considerate: leaving lights on, not cleaning up, and having loud conversations in the kitchen around midnight. Lastly, the shower wasn’t great. It had a persistent humid smell, and the drain clogged easily due to a built-in filter. Not dirty, but less pleasant than the rest of the otherwise clean house.

Nice to have kitchen. Toiletries and towels provided. We had some lovely neighbours that made the stay more bearable.

The room is really small for 2 people, more than normal. We struggled to find the bedding for the second bed when we were tired from arriving back late though I admit that was probably more my fault- frustrating nonetheless! The slats on the bed kept falling through and had clearly been damaged before so I slept terribly the first night and opted to have the mattress directly on the floor for the remainder. The sinks and kitchen were directly outside our room and people were often loud directly outside our door when we were trying to sleep. It took around an hour to get to the popular places in Tokyo and the costs of travel do add up quickly.
