Bayside Hotel & Self Catering

I liked where the hotel is located it's easy to find the hotel it looks amazing when you approach the area

I didn't like the bedding towels looks old n the bedding was looking old. But firstly I was expecting a room not two bedrooms houses now when I entered the room didn't know whether there was other people coming in or not because of that other room I was in that was my worry the rest was good

Everything about the place was perfect. We enjoyed our stay.

The check in time

We stayed here because we were running the Comrades marathon and it is 400m from the start. There was Aircon that worked perfectly. The mattresses were very comfortable. The fridge worked well. The water pressure and hot water temperature was excellent 👌 the sheet was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. And it seemed pretty clean. All in all I was ok with the accommodation, but it definitely was not what I was expecting as the pictures were not an example of the room we got.

The room were not quite as expected. The room pictures on booking.com did not quite match the room that was made available to us. The pictures show well finished, neat rooms. But there were holes in the walls from previous fittings that had been removed. The paint on the walls was peeling in places, there looked like exposed wires where they are perhaps putting in new light fittings. There looked like mould on the ceiling of the bathroom, there was no basin plug in the bathroom basin. There is no electricity outlet plug for the kettle in the kitchen area. There was a cupboard door missing from the kitchen cupboard, there were no forks and only one butter knife, no frying pan, no dishwashing soap, which is not great for a self catering accommodation. There were a few stains on the duvet. Looked very run down. Perhaps they are in the process of renovating?
