Disappointing.

Great location and good communication from host who was kind enough to allow us in an hour early.

House looked a bit tired and neglected. Downstairs toilet was soiled and clearly hadn't been cleaned. Cooker knobs covered in grease and food bits on the floor between cooker and worktop. Only 3 mugs and ridiculously, only 2 teaspoons ( For a property that's catering for up to 6 people) utterly unacceptable. Can opener only made a hole in the can but wouldn't open it. All these things combined to spoil the stay and we actually left a day early.

The middle bedroom was fine, no complaints. The front bedrooms mattress was very uncomfortable, the back bedroom had an odd unpleasant smell and the pillows smelt of sweat, the one pillow was very lumpy and uncomfortable so this was not used, due to this the guest in this room did not have a good nights sleep at all. The bedding was definitely laundered which means that it was the pillows that were the problem, I would suggest these are disposed of. The following day we found some clean pillow cases in the middle bedroom cupboard, these smelled nicely laundered so we added two extra Pillow cases to the pillow, this helped reduce the odour somewhat, a better nights sleep was had. The tea towel in the kitchen also had an unpleasant smell to it and didn’t appear to have been laundered. The house looked lovely when we walked in but on closer inspection we were quite disappointed.

The only thing that would have improved our stay would have been being able to log into our Netflix accounts etc on the tv

Fabulous, clean and comfortable. Just what we needed.

Just what we needed and asked for. The environment was nice and calm. It’s a few minutes drive from the city centre, but not a problem as I know the town well. Rooms Were clean and tidy on arrival. The general accommodation was neat, clean and lovely. WiFi was good and fast. Overall I am pleased.

Additionally it would be nice for them to mention the secrets/additional bathroom and toilet downstairs. Didn’t notice it till the day of checkout. Could have helped prep for the family.
