Truly Loveliest home in Paignton

Great location, nice property but needs a few tweaks to make it great

Location was amazing. Parking and access all good. Rooms were spacious (aside from 3rd bedroom) and property was generally well equipped. Kitchen was good and had everything we needed, except scissors!

There are internal steps...a step from living room to kitchen and then two small and odd angled steps from kitchen to dining area which were hazardous for my elderly stepdad but he managed with support. May be tricky for young children or those with mobility issues. The house was cold on arrival and feeling damp. Radiator didn't work in one bedroom but an electric radiator was provided. However this was needed downstairs as the radiator was not the hottest and it took a long while to warm through. I would urge them to put the heating on before guests arrive to address this. The bath isn't currently working (signs up but no notification beforehand) and the shower in that bathroom is not working well...hot and powerful but like a tap, no spray. The en suite bathroom leaked through to the ceiling below. We notified the hosts who were responsive although felt any leak was from the gully so advised we could use the ensuite. However it was clearly below the en suite so didn't risk it anymore. I did offer to whatsapp photos but no number was sent to do so. The carpet felt damp in the utility (and slightly in a patch in the lounge), likely from both these issues. As a 2 night stay this was manageable but wouldnt have been great for longer.

Lovely couple nights by the sea, perfect location

Lovely size rooms, perfect location. It could be such a beautiful place.

The radiators didn’t work in 2 bedrooms, ended up with little on in our bed as the other room was cold a damp. Was disappointed that the bath didn’t work and could find a microwave. We usually go for apartments rather than hotel as the kids won’t use a shower. And for bottle to warm in microwave. The place need a bit of tlc.

It was close to everywhere we wanted to go and by the sea Had good facilities. Bed was comfy

Had a bit of a damp smell. The sofa had hard bits in the headrests that can hurt if u sit in wrong place. The bath wasn’t working.

Perfect accommodation if you are able bodied not for elderly people

No breakfast as it was an air bnb

The things that were not for us can’t be changed If I’d have known before I may not have booked the property It was split level with steps of various heights that was a problem for my elderly father who actually fell a couple of times And the lack of a floor plan when booking meant that we hadn’t realised that there was no downstairs toilet The property is ok for able bodied people I would not recommend for elderly travellers

The property was a great location which had off the road parking,it was next to the beech and a short drive to Torquay.

We all had great sleeps as the beds were super comfortable and it was a large enough property to have the kids away from us at times.

Easter Break wonderful stay

The place was so spacious Lovely lounge area and big kitchen The kitchen was really well equipped for cooking and dining. When we stay we usually stay in a hotel and can be expensive eating out all the time so was really nice to be able to relax and go about our day as we pleased. The bedrooms were a great size and the beds were really comfortable Definitely booking it again in the future

Okay useful location for a couple of days but not any longer.

Third bedroom had no window, was very small and had black mould on the ceiling light and blind. Toilet opposite end of the landing to the shower room and very small and the stairs were narrow and steep. Had to download info to work out dishwasher and found the electric switch at the back of a cupboard. Okay location for a couple of days, but not ideal. No milk in fridge on arrival, but loads of toilet rolls.

No complaints just thought property was a bit tired heating did not work very well . Did think should of had smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors but overall very good

Great location but the property is a little tired.

There should have a notice on the bedroom door warning you of the VERY large step down into the room. No instructions about the heating, and poor instructions re the cooker and microwave. Both the large draws in the kitchen need looking at as they are very loose!! The rather cheap banister really needs fixing, especially as the stairs are so steap. Unable to get onto the balcony as no key and a ?? broken latch.

The location was superb, just across the road from the beach. Massive TV, great WiFi, comfy beds and great showers. The parking right outside the front door made things so easy too.

Lovely house, fantastic location

Loved being across the road from the beach! Having the green and the park was great too.

The gate didn't lock which was a little bit concerning with a small child and dog. A microwave would've been handy

the property was beautiful but starting to look tired! I tried to put the blind down in main bedroom and it fell off! the tv in the smaller bedroom was hanging off the wall! the shower room the shower didn’t work well and the knobs kept falling off!

it could of been cleaner :-( we had to wipe all the sides down in the kitchen and the floor was filthy with sticky patches we had to wash! the shower cubicle in the en-suite the glass panel still had shampoo etc all over it

A pleasant place to visit and the weather was good which helped.

The location was excellent and the facilities at the house were very good. The seating area was comfortable and the TV a good size. Plenty of fridge and cupboard space. Nice dining area.

When we arrived I opened the bedroom door and didn't know there was a step there which I promptly missed and landed on the floor, bruised a rib and hurt leg. There should be a sign on the door. Fortunately I didn't break anything. A downstairs toilet would have been an added bonus.

Had a lovely relaxing holiday. Close to many pubs and takeaways and the beach just opposite.

The house is very spacious and has a huge TV in the open plan lounge. Everything you needed was provided.

Travelled with my elderly father (85) and the furniture was too low for him to sit on. We had to use one of the garden chairs in the lounge.
