Good sized room, very comfy bed, excellent shower, excellent storage areas in the bathroom, nice view. Good breakfast. On site parking (if you get there early) Close to fabulous vegan café. Also a good Thai cafe/takeaway. Estuary walks. Walking distance to Portmeirion (40mins)

Large noisy kitchen vent right outside our room, during food serving times only, but was still annoying when added to.... Very noisy people outside until 3am both nights (understand from pub over the road). Awful. Lost a lot of sleep.

Comfortable room.

Poor staff training. Only one young man on duty for entire hotel when we arrived. Full meal service not available. Body wash dispenser in shower was empty. No remote control for TV. When one was obtained, no channels available. After much searching through settings I eventually managed a software restart and all channels received fine. List of amenities stated fan in room. Asked for one in exceptional heat and told there was only one in the hotel and it was taken. Went out for the day after our first night and room hadn’t been touched. Manager said the 2 cleaners had called in sick so she serviced the rooms herself but only the ones who had checked out! She apologised and offered to go into room and change bedding, etc. We said no, we only needed clean towels which she happily supplied and also gave us 2 bottles of water. Just a series of small things that weren’t right and could easily have been avoided with good staff training.
