The Old Homestead was the perfect location for a gathering of long time friends.
Beautiful property and location. So quite and amazing views of the night sky.
The downstairs shower was in poor condition and could use improvement. I would also suggest making the lighting in the back of the house either red or able to turn off.

The location is great. It's quiet and private while still being close enough to stores, trails, creeks/rivers, and trails, if that's what you're looking for. Plenty of room for us to relax and the lot is large enough to run our dog while still being away from the fire pit, etc. Great views of the night sky as well if that's what you're after. We had the dumb luck of booking a cloudy/snowy weekend so we only had a 30 minute break in the clouds early on the second night, but it was still pretty awesome. House was nice, very comfortable ("cozy" as my wife repeatedly phrased it), well stocked, and clean, with pretty much everything we needed.
There isn't anything that we disliked about the property, though I do think it would be pretty chaotic with maxed out capacity (sleeps 12, if I remember correctly). If your group is primarily using the house as a base camp to use for other outings or outdoor activity it may work out with more people, but for lazy folks - like us - who just want to sit around and relax around the property the whole time, it would be very crowded. I would recommend six adults max if you plan to stay "home" the whole time. Just my opinion though. Also, while we were able to cook everything we wanted to, it may be worth it to bring some knives, pots & pans if you know there is something specific you'd like to make in the kitchen.
