Very clean and comfortable. Very well equipped. Very easy off road parking. Excellent location.

A rug and coffee table in the living room. Although, we spent a lot of time at the dining table with the ‘in keeping’ comfy dining chairs.

5 days on the Isle of Wight

The house is well located in Freshwater, and has plenty of parking on the drive. Communication was good, we were given a check in time of 5pm but the house was luckily ready just before 3pm and we managed to access earlier. There is a convenient local shop at the end of the road, and a coffee shop nearby as well. There is a nice beach with clear water about 15 minutes walk from the house. The area is quiet, and even overnight there wasn't much noise coming from the road. There are 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, all very clean and functional. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, plates and mugs. There is also a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer which is excellent to have for long stays. The hosts have left a big folder with places to see and things to do on the island, which is nice for people that are not familiar with the area or want to find a new place to try. There are also some board games in the house, a TV in the living room and a spacious garden with seating area. We had a bit of an issue with the door handle of one of the bedrooms, which didn't allow us to enter the room. But after calling the number provided we got someone coming around within a couple of hours and sorting it out.

The only thing that was a bit of a pain to do is on the checkout morning. We had to strip the beds and vacuum/mop the floors before leaving at 10am. I understand leaving the house tidy to not overburden the cleaning staff, but it seemed a bit excessive to have to do that just before leaving, while getting things and kids ready.

A fantastic stay on the island! We look forward to visiting again next year (already booked!)

Location was perfect. Fully equipped property, comfortable beds and seating. Plenty of space in all rooms. Garden was a lovely bonus, plenty of space to play and seating to catch the evening sun. Off road parking made it easy to unload and felt safe putting children in the car. Washing machine and tumble dryer were fab (probably better than our own!) and a great help with a messy toddler! Owners recommendations of places to go to eat and visit were greatly appreciated. Property was well decorated (nice paintings) and clean. We will be back and would recommend to friends and family. A fantastic stay on the Island!

If we're being really picky (as we loved our stay): lock on the bathroom door was tricky and towels were a little small.

Fabulous! The property had everything we needed

Lots of space, very comfortable sofas and beds, plenty of hot water – nice to have the option of the shower or a bath.

Not really something we didn’t like, but just a comment that the lawn could’ve done with a bit of a tidy up. Also, the downstairs toilet room has a bit of a funny smell to it.

We had a fab long weekend in a beautiful house home from home.

Loved location and the house decor very comfortable, well stocked for cutlery and plates mugs glasses etc. Loads of pots pans. Bedding towels etc beautiful and beds sofas etc were so clean and comfie. Nice little garden lovely birdsong and quiet neighbourhood. Good parking for 2 cars.

Lots to do before 10am time to vacate removing bedding sweeping floors. Sort and take out rubbish when there are 5 of you its a bit of a rush to all shower have breakfast do the chores and vacate. It wouldn't stop us going back though it's a gorgeous stay.

Fantastic property - a complete home from home (everything you'd need). Beautifully decorated, sparkinglingly clean and lovely garden for sitting in the sun before & after a day out. Great location - our favourite side of the island.

Redbutt House - Lovely!

The house was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped. Lovely garden with seating. The photographs don't do it justice. Location great, walking distance to a deli/shop and Piano cafe and Freshwater Bay and Albion Hotel. Alum Bay and Tesco nearby. Would highly recommend Redbutt House and hope to stay again in the future.

Floors have different levels so a few stubbed toes but a minor inconvenience.

Amazing experience

We had a fantastic stay at this property! It was incredibly comfortable and spotlessly clean, with every detail thoughtfully arranged for the guests' comfort. The location was perfect—very close to local amenities, making everything easily accessible. The board games were a great touch, keeping the children entertained in the evenings, while during the day, we had a wonderful time exploring the beautiful local area. The scenery was stunning, and the friendly locals made us feel very welcome. Overall, it was a perfect stay, and we would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway!

I made this house my home for two weeks and it was perfect.

Visiting Isle of Wight from California - I stayed mostly on my own at RedButt House, without a car, for nearly two weeks. I was aiming to relax, explore a bit, and think. I had everything I needed to be comfortable and entertain myself. This place made me feel I had a "real" home to come back to (or stay in) each day. Nearby Tennyson Down and Tennyson's Farringford house, Dimbola Museum and tea room, Piano cafe for breakfast, Freshwater Bay's beach, Compton Bay's dinosaur footprints, and the frequent nearby bus system were all so convenient. There is even a free little library at one of the nearby bus stop shelters - filled with so many books! The home was well appointed with linens and plenty of warm bedding, plenty of dishes and all I needed to make meals - even some herbs and spices. The dining room cabinet was filled with great books about the area and its local history. The nearby corner grocery shop was fantastic. One tip: I did have to stock up on things like garbage bags, toilet paper, and hand soap for bathrooms, but the nearby shop made that very easy. Even the Tesco and Boots were only about 15 minutes' walk away. I would definitely stay here again. I highly recommend it!

Wonderful Red Butt House

Everything. The agent was extremely helpful and kind, especially as we booked at the last minute. And it was fantastic that he organised the ferry for us at the discounted price. He went above and beyond to look after us. We loved the house. It was immaculate and very roomy and comfortable . In a fantastic location. We will definitely stay there again.

off road parking for 2/3 cars, very well equipped, 3 toilets, perfect location, lovely property

rather scruffy back garden with lots of wasps around the seating area due to uncleared grapes covering the patio area would like to have had a smaller pillow available as all pillows were very plump
