Large House, sleeps 10 with incredible sea views

The property was large enough to accommodate 6 adults comfortably. It was a great location with wonderful views. Tea, coffee and sugar available as well as a few biscuits. Nice touch.

Sadly, the dishwasher broke on our visit and we declined any repair as we were only staying for a few days and didn’t want any further intrusion. Some of the utensils were dirty and we had to rewash, bring extra toilet roll as the bare minimum there, the balcony needed a good scrub as looked covered in green algae, some of the windows were difficult to shut , the single beds were creaky and one of the towels my son used was smelling of damp. Also on the day we left I noticed a wet damp area on the top landing which clearly indicates a leak. On the whole we felt it could be a great home but was a little tired.

Lovely big house with lots of character. Well equipped and great location for exploring Ilfracombe which we really enjoyed.

Parking was a bit of a faff but we always got somewhere nearby without paying. Had to message for the WiFi details rather than them being in the book.

Easy check in, clean and well equipped

Nothing

Location and views where great, nice size property. Easy access to the harbour down the footpath to the left of the house

House was tired felt tired, could really do with deep clean. We had a issue with the smell, when we walked in on the first day there was a really strong smell of gone off milk/bins, seemed someone previous might have spilt milk on the kitchen floor that hadn't been cleaned up properly. We had to give the kitchen a clean before we could take our food in. We did mention it to the host and they did send a cleaner out, however it was no better when we got back later that day. We also sat on one of the beds in the attic and the slats dropped which meant I had to put them back in together (Having looked at another reviews, someone else seemed to mention this). It's a shame as the this could be a fantastic house.
