Ilfracombe itself is a nice place, the property ruined our stay and cut our holiday short

Location was ideal, space in the property was also ideal

The property was absolutely filthy, the towels provided smelt awful, the washing machine was black and gunky in the draw and run, the current draw was grimy and full of dirt, the extractor fan was dripping grease, my baby dropped his dummy behind the sofa and that was the final straw for me, I could go on, I was so disgusted I took photos so I can discuss with the owners but upon being reached out to they came to the conclusion the property was more than acceptable, we actually left early due to the cleanliness of the property not being acceptable by anyone’s standards.

Lovely weekend away with extended family

The property was set very nicely with lots of space for 10.. It was comfy and met all our requirements .. We visited the Thatched Inn.. which I was very pleasant and friendly

Lovely inviting home, perfect for a family get together

Lovely location in a big home from home. Easy to find and get in, clear instructions set in the welcome pack and facilities were great. The views are beautiful and our kids loved looking out to sea from the balcony.

The beds in the twin rooms were a bit creaky so people staying in there were a little worried they would wake the other.

We would have had a great stay if the house had been cleaner.

Location and views where great, nice size property. Easy access to the harbour down the footpath to the left of the house

House was tired felt tired, could really do with deep clean. We had a issue with the smell, when we walked in on the first day there was a really strong smell of gone off milk/bins, seemed someone previous might have spilt milk on the kitchen floor that hadn't been cleaned up properly. We had to give the kitchen a clean before we could take our food in. We did mention it to the host and they did send a cleaner out, however it was no better when we got back later that day. We also sat on one of the beds in the attic and the slats dropped which meant I had to put them back in together (Having looked at another reviews, someone else seemed to mention this). It's a shame as the this could be a fantastic house.

Large House leaves a Large imprint on our hearts.

The host was lovely and very good with communication, helping us with local things to do and offering some helpful tips for holidaying in Ilfracombe with a mobility disability. We had a brilliant folder with lots of info. The facilities were great, and we really appreciated the little basket of beach toys and blankets as we forgot ours! The home was beautifully clean on arrival but still felt homely, so we didn't need to panic about our little boy touching anything! The welcome basket was a real bonus as the children were super hungry when we arrived and quickly demolished the delicious little treats! We slept so well that we almost didn't wake up in time to check out, so left in a bit of a hurry! Super comfy beds and great showers too. The view was gorgeous and my little boy loved using the binoculars to look for pirates and dolphins from the balcony.

We have no complaints at all. We would usually book a home with a big garden for the children to play in, but deliberately booked this home because of how much there is to do locally. So we didn't miss that at all. I would recommend reading the folder left by Fiona as soon as you arrive, to understand the parking.

Great stay for large family.

It was spacious, had lovely views, the kitchen was great as it was fully equipped with everything you needed. Rooms were spacious, with lots of bedding etc,. Fantastic living room with great sofa! The bath tubs were great! the double beds were comfortable to sleep in. It had many great areas to relax and enjoy. Host provided great coffee and chocolates! the host was very attentive and responsive which was nice.

The top floor shower drains were blocked and the water was not flowing properly. The single bed mattresses were little uncomfortable to sleep on, it made a lot of noise and the springs inside the mattress were poking into our bodies which made it hard to sleep at night. The house was very nosy because of the wooden old floor boards. No freezer in the kitchen. no free parking so it was a little bit stressful
