Pleasant host. Disappointing essentials to be classed as a luxury apartment.

The host was very pleasant and did his most to attend to our needs.

The shower in the en suite was broken. Plug in the wash hand basin didn't work. Cracked mirrored wardrobes. Barbecue unusable due to being full of cigarette ends. Uncomfortable couches. Chipped crockery and odd cutlery. Lack of kitchen necessities eg no chopping board, scissors. Confusion on key collection.

The flat was very clean. The location was lovely. We got to Aberdeen at 4am and picking up the key was very easy. Beds were very comfy and wifi was decent enough. I would generally recommend the property at Rubislaw Mansion.

Although it's no fault of the property owner, there was always a strong smell of cannabis from another flat. My family and I had to spend most times away from the flat during the day and leave the windows open overnight.

The location and the quality of the apartment, it was clean, but some things were left from the previous guest, eg, half carton of wine in en suit cupboard

Apartment is okay, but the experience was spoiled by poor management

The size and location was suitable for our requirements. Car parking is available outside the apartment building. There is a bus stop nearby with regular buses to the city center, and a small shop across the road for essentials.

You don't find out until after you have booked this apartment with a non-refundable payment, that you have to collect the keys from a lock box on Union Street, 4 miles away in the city center. Parking was available however I did not receive any instructions how to access the car park, or which parking space to use. There is also a gate for pedestrian access to the main road, but we were not given the access code. WIFI worked but again there were no instructions how to connect and we had to hunt for the password. The £200 deposit seems excessive and I had to wait over 2 weeks after checking out for it to be returned.

didn’t realise there would be no lift and had elderly mum with me. one of the residents on the ground floor had been smoking weed and it hit you when entering the building. Could feel the springs in mattress’s could do with a topper on the beds or new mattress’s

Got off to a bad start luckily they had a spare apartment over the road and it ended up OK

We didn't end up staying at Rubislaw Mansions, in fairness Duncan quickly moved us to a different apartment (luckily they had a spare one), but still very inconvenient.

Smelt strongly of cannabis on entry to the apartment block and in the main stairwell, not great in any case but especially not when you have a 4 month old baby. On arrival into the apartment itself it was quickly clear it hadn't been cleaned from the previous visitors. Whilst we were moved very quickly it was still very disappointing.
