Nómadas Hostel

Lovely hostel about 30 mins walk from beaches and supermarkets. Area seems very safe, key access to property, electric code to own room. Reception open 8 to 8, lovely, friendly staff, excellent English spoken. Very clean. Quiet times, 11pm to 9am. Payment by booking.com. Excellent wifi/internet/network throughout. Good kitchen, good food storage allocation options. 6 ring gas hob (oven not usable), large fridge/freezer, toaster, coffee maker, juicer/blender, plenty of good pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. Drinking water available. A good, varied breakfast between 8 and 10 am usually of cereal(s), nachos and accompaniments, fruit, tea, coffee . Small book swap, many table games. Plenty of shared areas to relax in. 2 lovely (soft) dogs to lick you to death. Hand clothes washing sink and sheltered outdoor washing lines. Good size room (but long and thin) with double bed, storage, bench seat at far end, ceiling fan and extra stand up fan (A/C extra). Plenty of powerpoints (not necessarily in the best places). Plenty of hooks. Quiet. Good hot water shower (hot water not always available).

No visible signs of recycling (other than for organic waste). No work desk in room as advertised on booking.com. Cost of A/C a bit excessive at 250 pesos a day (nearly US$18 on their exchange rate), we realise they are expensive to run, but that much? Very hot! Not enough room for bedside units or lamps, but no main light switch by bed either. No bin (except in toilet). No door to toilet (a simple curtain separating the bathroom from the bedroom would suffice). Toilet cubicle too narrow to comfortably sit on. Not the best lighting in the room. No towel rail in bathroom.

Comfortable bed, good shower, sweet little room.

The walls are thin so if you’re sensitive sleeper there will be a problem.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The dogs are super friendly and loving. Upstairs smoking area is really chilling, and relaxing.

Bring earplugs, especially the double room I was in could be very noisy as it’s in the main area hang out

Very kind and helpful staff - cozy family home. Very affordable. Local buses close to hostel to take you to and from the town centre.

One of the showers had a clogged drain so had to stand in dirty water. Soap dispensers were empty in the washrooms. No toilet paper in one of the toilets for a whole day. Breakfast was low quality and had an off putting taste. Dog pooh on the roof terrace and it peed right beside my yoga mat while I was doing yoga...
