What really made this place for me was the hostess, Nashita. So fun to chat with, super smart, knows everything about how to get from A to B in Zanzibar, where to go, what to see. Best of all, she's extremely well travelled backpacker — over 50 countries! My dog Mini loved wandering around and it was super safe for her since there's no place to escape. Super nice gesture was the fresh papaya from their trees when I arrived and one morning. NICE!
I hope they turn the top floor into a glamping top floor with a view. I'd LOVE to sleep up there! The first night I stayed out too late, and even with a torch/flashlight I got lost. So you MUST pay attention to landmarks!

A completely local experience in a proper Zanzibarian calm village. Authentic, humane, welcoming people with a simple relaxed, family, lifestyle with dogs. Amazing 360 rooftop view, sunrise and sunset daily as well as stargazing. Hidden house on the hill, 4 mins by foot to the main road, where shops and taxis are. Short walk to the beach. 3 minutes ride to the "exciting" Paje. Rooms available with kitchen.
There was low shower water pressure in my room, but all other rooms had normal water pressure just fine. Some kitchen items were missing.
