Location 10/10 with beautiful view Quiet and peaceful Very safe location Host let us stay couple of hours longer to pack - very easy to deal with

The house is somewhat run down, and the kitchen is not well equipped. The pans are very old (takes forever to cook a simple scrambled egg), the scissors and knives are blunt, and there is not enough cutlery or other basic utensils. Broken gate - which was not ideal for the dog Terrace and wall around need to be changed - hazard for children

Fantastic location right on the beach, looking out to sea. Bliss. We knew this property had the rare quality of 4 bedrooms and wonderfully 3 with double beds. Even the single beds were larger than normal. Very rare layout and much appreciated by us. We also knew the property was modern and it was decorated in a happy, stylish way. It was very clean and tidy. Best of all we knew this property was right on the beach and we had the joy of waking up to a great sea view every day. Bonus is it is really quite peaceful all weekend along the beach, I expect as it is not sand but pebbles and has no immediate nearby facilities unless you are in a home or rental on the beach. Our ageing dog loved the freedom of just walking out the home onto the beach. We were greeted with a bottle of wine, some dog treats and crisps. 2 parking bays. Dog friendly. We would return happily if the outside space and furniture is updated.

The main and only major disappointment was the private outside space beach-side. It is desperate need of an update, furniture was broken, the picnic table only sits 4 and is well past its use by date and the decking is very old. The Jacuzzi is not for use and sits and obscures some of the beautiful view from the house. There were only 4 places possible to sit for the 5 of us outside and all around a very old picnic table is not relaxing in the sun. We were blessed with lovely weather and so the fact sitting outside was uncomfortable with nowhere to stretch out was really sad. To be honest this has to be the most important space of the property in the summer months so we were really surprised at how user uncomfortable it was. We all had trouble sleeping. Duvets with sylish throws on top meant that most everyone was too hot at night as the choice was either a thicker duvet or a throw or nothing. There was also a problem with pillows for us. Only two per double bed meant that everyone was sleeping on one pillow whether they liked it or not. Most our party use 2 pillows at night at home so a single pillow caused sleeping issues. These were personal tastes so might not affect other people at all. We would like to return but only when we know that the outside has been updated and new furniture provided and next time we will bring pillows etc. (You also have to bring soap, which is a very strange in today's world of luxury renting). Very strange hob top that we never managed to master! That might be us! Finally, you also have to give photo id to stay here. This might be the way the world is heading and become more prevalent but I was uncomfortable in sending a copy of my driving licence off for the first time to stay somewhere on Booking.com.
