Cheap and very clean

It's a two star hotel but in an excellent location. Anything in that location is significantly more expensive than Rizzo. However, your expectations shouldn't be high. You get decent security, generously-sized room, running hot water and cleanliness. But that's about it. No laundry service, the restaurant is very basic, the furniture and most amenities are really old (especially the elevator), the internet is slow and the windows don't exactly close properly. The showers are really generous which I highly appreciated. Even so, at this price and this location, it's excellent value. Right next to the Seminary Park and within walking distance from everything important or useful in Guayaquil.

Ecuador is going through an energy crisis. This hotel does not have a generator so the blackouts are for real. And because the windows don't exactly close properly, the noise from the generators of the buildings around it can be pretty unbearable. The staff doesn't speak a single word of English. So brush up your Spanish or have Google Translate ready.

cheep and spacious.

the location seemed great but actually it was very loud. the bed sheets weren’t properly cleaned we found a lot of hair that wasn’t ours. the stuff wasn’t very helpful about the activities and places to visit in the city.
