Hotel Flor de Liz

No tengo queja, es un hotel bonito, ubicado en zona estratégica, habitaciones grandes, baño excelente, gracias a Dios contaba con garaje.

Firstly, I was surprised by being charged differently than I expected. I should pay US$ 129.00 (including taxes) for 4 nights in a double room, but I had to pay US$ 140.00 instead. The front desk guy argued he was giving me a different room, but that's not true. I showed him my reservation both at the Booking app and at the confirmation e-mail. He did not care at all. The location of the hotel, although close to Parque Centenário and El Malecón, is absolutely scary - specially at night. Please take care when walking alone. The breakfast, although complimentary, is very very basic: don't expect to get full! There is no more than eggs (either scrambled or boiled), juice, coffe and a plain sandwich. No butter at all. And believe me, I stayed four nights there and the breakfast was exactly the same every morning. All employees, with no exception, seemed very bored to work there... In four days I did not notice a single smile. Shower is bad - water temperature control is bizarre, so expect to get some freezing water jets during the bath. Decoration is horrible. Too outdated. To finish, wifi is terrible. At least in room #311 the only way to get connected was standing just behind the room's door. Definitely this hotel is overpriced for what it offers. I would strongly recommend choosing another place to stay in Guayaquil.
