Haven House Rooms, Barry

The flexibility of accessing the property at unsociable hours was brilliant, and (I mean this in the best way!) the lack of intrusion, despite the Room being (I believe) in the same property as the Owners.

There was nothing about our stay that we disliked.

Meryl was a lovely and responsive hostess. She made sure we had everything and even accommodated our unusual early check in request. We cannot be thankful enough for the kindness we were met with! The place was spotless, which we expected judging by the whiff of "clean smell" that hit us when we entered. If you know you know! Very comfy, soft bed, and generous cloud-like pillows. The parking situation was very convenient, right outside the property. We only stayed for a night, but will happily recommend this little gem to anyone.

It's more of an "us" problem, but because the house is on a main road, traffic can be a bit noisy, especially if the windows are open. The noise does die down for the night, but if you're in bed by 9pm or want to sleep in, pack some earbuds.

Kettle provided for tea and free fruit.

Everything was fine

Location was good for what we needed. Parking outside was handy. The bed was comfortable. It was what we expected for the price. Had Netflix on tv and tea and coffee set up. Room was decorated nice but needed cleaning properly. Bedding was clean.

Impersonal and could do with a deep clean. Small fridge was off when we arrived and didn’t smell great. Dust on lamps and cupboards had odd and sods left in there. The bed was comfortable but smaller than our bed at home. White blinds look good however it’s so bright in the morning- you need curtains. Didn’t like sharing a bathroom so wouldn’t stay again as the property was full of young lads. Towels were rock hard! Just needs some TLC.
