Haven House Rooms, Barry

The double room was lovely decorated, clean, very comfortable bed and pillows. We shared a bathroom which was lovely and clean and had a nice shower gel and hand soap and hand towels. Felt very comfortable and safe in this lovely property. Myself and my 13 year old daughter loved our stay. We booked last minute as we were in Cardiff at a Lewis Capaldi concert and decided to visit Barry Island and stay the night as travelled from Scotland. Meryl who owns the property, greeted us and was very friendly and gave lots of recommendations and just lovely all round. We would highly recommend and hope to visit again. Great value for money. Los to do and see in Barry and tge Gavin & Stacey toyr on Daves bus was brilliant. Thanks for a lovely stay Meryl.

Lovely room, very clean and comfortable bed. Parking on the road just around the corner was convenient. Owners were helpful with supplying an iron for us to use.

The road was very noisy, hadn’t realised it was a main road there and there was heavy traffic from about 6am onwards. Unfortunately we had to leave the windows open as well with the insane heatwave during our stay, not the owners fault obviously just not ideal!

Absolutely spotless. Good location.

This property is clean and comfortable. The room was pleasant. Accessing the property was reasonably straightforward. It is in a good location for easy access to Barry town centre. It was also nice to have WiFi access. Parking was not a problem.

The big problem for us was that in the room that we were in we could hear a constant loud droning type noise all night long - that we presumed was to do with some kind of generator, boiler or electrical system? Whatever it was, it disturbed our sleep.
