Great cottage and beautifully placed but felt like a two up two down terrace extended upstairs to a accommodate more bed

It was in a beautiful area of Northumberland and the bedrooms were nice and spacious

There were 6 adults btwn mid 50 to 70 years of age and the small sofa seating arrangement meant that only four of us could sit on comfortable seating at a time and the other two had to sit on dining room chairs! Not ideal, and if we had stayed longer this would have been a real problem

Really lovely relaxing weekend away in a gorgeous property.

Excellent location and fab property. Lovely facilities and very clean. Easy from start to finish. great welcome items left (milk/coffee/tea/bread etc.)

It would be good if the heating was programmed to be on for arrival time as the house was freezing (10 degrees) when we got there and we had to sit with coats on for an hour until it warmed up. There were no bin liners at all - even in the bin so had to try and find carrier bags to use to collect rubbish - would be handy to leave some under the kitchen sink. One of our party had a nasty reaction when using the hot tub (second time as same thing happened last year) so not sure if its the chemicals used but doesn't happen anywhere else we go.

A few tweaks/ updates and this house will be back to fantastic

The house is in the ideal spot. Little brewery at the end of the street, enough parking, Hareshaw Linn walk starting outside the property, three lovely village pubs and amenities on your doorstep. The hosts had tea bags and biscuits out for our arrival, and the Christmas tree was up with lights on, which was a lovely surprise. Heating was on as requested, and it had plenty of glasses/ cups/ plates for 7 adults.

This property was fantastic at one point; however, the hosts have let a few things slip that are easily solved. - The plug in the main bathroom is old, rusty and dirty ( This brings the bathroom down) - The bathroom had shampoo/ conditioner/ soap dispensers with nothing in, - The top of the stairs carpet is worn and coming away, with carpet running on full display - The house needs a lick of paint. Walls are chipped and flaking - If you advertise a real stove fire, logs should be left for guests to use. - The settee situation is silly. To advertise a house for eight people, but only have one corner sofa in the living room for eight people to sit on is ridiculous. (Luckily, I read this on quite a few other reviews, so I brought my own camping chair, which was definitely needed for our group) * On the Sunday when we were leaving, all the power went out. This was 8:30am on Sunday morning, so we were unable to have breakfast, and there was no electricity or hot water before leaving the house for the 10 am check-out. This was a planned power cut to fix some lines/ cables. The host should have warned us of this on booking!

A great stay at Foundry Farm House.

The house was perfect for our needs, we were a family of 6 adults and 2 children and dogs. The size and location of the property were amazing, well stocked with essentials and very clean throughout. The hot tub was clean and very hot! The brewery next door was amazing also with friendly staff.

Ideally the sofa could be larger to account for the capacity to seat 8, but large table and chairs nearby to use instead.

Great family getaway

Excellent location for local walks eg waterfall, kielder, pubs etc. kitchen was well equipped with basics, cutlery etc. dining table was good size for amount of guests. Hot tub was a great addition and plenty of outdoor space with towels provided. All areas were clean on arrival.

Property was in need of some TLC in communal areas eg marks on walls, carpets short on stairs. Beds were quite hard which some guests found uncomfortable. Had to ring several times before reaching someone to get the lock box code; would have been better to have receive this via message prior to arrival.

We had a lovely family break despite some short comings of the house.

Location was excellent close to shops and dog friendly pubs and nice walks. Big hot tub.

Very cold on arrival and took at least 6 hours to get to a good temperature. Toilet was broken and not repaired even after reporting. No tea towels and not enough seating area in lounge for size of the house.

Great girls weekend away

Lovely modern house plenty of space great hot tub and sun loungers for the summer. 2 en-suite bathroom which were beautiful and a main bathroom with a big bath. 5 min walk into town with a shop and few pubs .

a couple of dirty food trays had been put away without them been cleaned, so just need double checking next time but obviously didn’t spoil our weekend

Nice & clean, good location

It was very cold when we arrived, I would suggest the heating been on a timer in winter, it had been turned right down on the boiler so it was not heating up, but someone came out promptly, it would of been nice to have logs for the fire too,

Northumberland trip

Location House was clean except the mattress toppers Access was easy Nicely presented house with what you would expect, sofa tv good kitchen nice clean bathrooms etc.

Poor mattress, hard. No rubbish bin in the bedroom No toilet downstairs Barbecue was not prepped and was very dirty, covered in Ash and grease and old food. Alarms going off next door all night for 2 nights. Was expecting a bit more comfort for the expensive price.

Bathrooms were modern

The property was nothing like the photographs or as described. it is not a farmhouse and is in fact a terraced house located next to a garage and micro brewery. Property had a stale smell to it and was dirty in a lot of areas including all windows and window sills, the oven was particularly dirty with a greasy smell when turned on. Garden was unusable with no cushions available for seating areas and very weed strewn. We booked to attend a wedding and once we arrived we looked to find alternative accommodation but nothing was available, otherwise we would have moved. Certainly not worth the money we paid, how do we pursue a refund?

We had a great stay overall.

It was comfortable, nicely decorated, and in a good location.

There was a couple of leaks which looked like they were ongoing, and which hadn’t been repaired. There was a periodic smell of sewage in a couple of rooms because of this.

Excellent from start to finish.

The house was amazing, clean tidy and had an amazing garden and the hot tub was great for our friends birthday. Will definitely be going back. The location was super private and a brewery across the grass. Amazing place. Only 1 downside, would benefit from a downstairs cloaks.

Leaving.... and check out at 10am. 11am would be better.

High end, relaxing weekend away in a beautiful little village - we’ll be back!

very spacious, comfortable and everything we needed for a relaxed weekend away. Hosts answered our many questions on the run up to the stay and during the stay with no hesitation. During horrendous weather, the host came to check everything was ok and told us to contact them if needed, which was a lovely touch.

Just a heads up, directions don’t take you to the house, the house is accessed through the Linn carpark and park on the gravelled area next to the terrace. The house is the closest to the parking area

Location was perfect, small walk into local village. Good size property for large groups and has potential to be an overall great stay.

We arrived to the property smelling like someone had just cooked food, the table was very greasy and had food marks and stains all over it. Meaning we had to clean it before we put our stuff away and could sit at the table. Nearly all of the crockery in the cupboards were very dirty and the dish washer did not work. The microwave was full of grease and the tea towel and oven glove left on the oven to use looked like it hadn’t been washed for weeks. There were so many stains on the walls, especially a huge on above the stairs and the paint was peeling/falling off in one of the en-suite bathrooms. The hot tub was freezing cold upon arrival (understandably due to it just being cleaned after previous guests) however we were advised it would “heat up quickly” which sadly was not the case so we were unable to use the hot tub on the first night.

the property was clean, the bedrooms were brilliant, and en suites. Hot tub was a hit and great location for a lovely walk.

the only thing was lack of seating in the lounge in comparison to the number of people who can stay. it needs and extra sofa/chair.

Very nice place to stay, if we stay up there again will try and re-book.

The location was great, it is on a small industrial estate and noisy and busy during the day. However if you walk 1 min in teh other direction you would never know. The house needs a little work, a bit of damp but teh house is very well equipped and you barely notice it to be honest. The standard in the house is very good and is a pleasure to be in. The hot tub was a treat for the kids too. All in all if we were to stay in the area again we would certainly book again!

Could perhaps introduce some grab rails in the bathroom, one of our family had an accident and slipped.

It was difficult to access the lock box on arrival and departure. Maybe this can be looked at for future guests?

We could not find a kitchen bin / bin bags : we had to go out and buy some for use during our stay. I did not receive any email from booking.com before our stay and had to message the owner the day before directly for the key box code.

Relaxing staycation with a friends

We picked this property as there was a hot tub included. We were pleasantly surprised with the local amenities - enjoying a drink and dinner at the local restaurant. There was plenty to do in the area including walks. The house was well equipped and clean, with comfy beds.

There was no toilet downstairs which was a pain when you were outside in the hot tub and had traipse upstairs.
