Beautiful cottage

This cottage was stunning. Really tastefully decorated, all of the furniture and homeware was high quality. The colours of the different rooms and furnishings were just stunning. Everything was Exceptionally clean and tidy. The bathrooms were beautiful and the kitchen was my favourite room, just outstanding. Really well located, quiet and peaceful in a lovely small village, ideally located to travel around Northumberland, both to other little villages and to the natural beauty of Northumberland. Did stargazing at battlesteads, visited percys cross, winters gibert, corbridge and Bellingham to name a few.

Just one thing, having to take the bed sheets off and empty bins at the end of the stay?

Comfortable and quiet with sheep.

Lovely setting, good facilities, clean and comfortable. Quiet and loved the sheep and wildlife.

The kitchen chairs were not the most comfortable but ok for meals and then use the sofa and chairs. Shower was slippery but ok when the floor towel was used.

Loose door handle to en-suite, broken light shade in small bedroom and very dust lights, broken coat hook in small bedroom along with broken blind. Cleaning staff initially quite rude when vehicle wouldn’t start That refundable deposit hasn’t been returned or explained why it’s not been returned

Couldn't get the TV to link with my iTunes films unfortunately but watched on ipad. Linked with YouTube easily though. Also a note about the hot water would have been helpful but did receive guidance when asked.

perfect location for our family wedding trip, it was spacious, comfortable and with all amenities we required.

The only minor issue we had was with the kitchen work tops which were extremely sticky. But we are aware that this can be a problem with a solid wood surface.

Nice cosy cottage and easy access for Woodhill Hall.

lovely property and very stylish. 3 nice bedrooms, all in use, as we were attending a wedding at Woodhill Hall. nice cleaning staff and very helpful, as we arrived a bit early. great checkin via the key code.

Some maintenance needed. Our bedroom door did not close, patio doors difficult to close and the en-suite was beautiful with a bath but no shower, yet there is plenty of room. Meant that 6 of us needed a shower in the main bathroom on the morning of the wedding. Shower rail holding glass panels very loose as well as toilet seat in main bathroom, which are both hazardous. Would have also liked some basics ie salt, pepper, cooking oil, milk, as we have had in other cottages.

This is a beautiful place to stay and we had a fantastic time.

It was lovely to arrive and find such lovely gifts in the kitchen. The whole bungalow was beautifully presented. It was spacious so the 6 of us did not feel on top of each other. It was close to the chateau which made it easy to travel and return and pop back during the day if you'd forgotten something. It felt like home from home and we really enjoyed our stay. Our hosts were quick to help us out when we asked for some advice re the heating, it felt like nothing would have been a bother. Shower room was beautiful and very easy to use.

Would rather not say didn't like but instead - would be even better if.... and these are little things ... the single beds are very very soft and therefore not very comfortable (I'm 65) my daughter was fine in hers. In the kitchen I think the surface of the island has become a bit sticky which made it difficult to play cards on Saturday evening, we did prefer that room to the lounge as it was very dark in the lounge but understand that that is a decor choice so not a criticism! I do think the outside could benefit from an outside light though...mainly for slightly tipsy older people returning from a night out at La Petit Chateau. Still all in all a fab stay!

Really big cottage with exceptional rooms, huge kitchen / lounge which is a real focal point. We only stayed the 2 nights as had family wedding nearby, would have loved to stay longer. Would definately recommend.

Lovely stay in Otterburn

House was beautifully decorated throughout with lovely views over the fields and hills. It was great to watch the lambs running around the house from the kitchen. Location was excellent for visiting family.

Great scenic location

Excellent for access to local scenic walks, waterfalls and Kielder Water. Being able to take your dogs is great.

Not enough hot water. The lounge could have done with curtains. There was a problem with one of the beds and although the hosts had a go a fixing it was not sufficient and lead to some disturbed sleep, I image it would have been resolved better were it not for covid and xmas time.
