Staff were very accommodating as we were staying to enable us to attend a nearby wedding before the said check in time and they allowed us early access to our room as it was ready.

Staff super friendly and heplful. Great loaction for attending wedding venue. Lovely quiet homley room. Great views from garden of property. Breakfast cooked to order, along with a nice continental range and self service tea/coffee toast etc... Excellent value at price point compared to similar accomodations in area. Room was spotless and ideal for our overnight stay. Miles better than staying at wedding venue we attended, which we have used for a stay in the past.
Only one very small criticism was the bed, it seemed on the small side for a double (maybe we are just used to our king size bed) however that wouldn't stop me going back or recommending anyone else to use this fabulous guest house.

We loved the location, especially for anyone attending an event at Petite Château, as it’s only a 2-minute walk away. Check-in was very easy with the self check-in system, and breakfast was great with excellent service. We also really appreciated how quickly the staff responded when we raised an issue with our room, offering us a new room straight away. The second room was clean, had blinds and a much more comfortable bed, which made a huge difference to our stay.
Unfortunately, our initial room, the Kielder Room, had a very strong smell of damp as soon as we walked in. The bed was also quite small, so taller guests may struggle, and the mattress was very hard. The curtains let quite a lot of light through and there was a street light directly outside the room, so we would recommend bringing an eye mask if you’re sensitive to light.
