Casa Kaneli Luxury Villa Elounda

Plenty of great information just before checking in and key in box makes arrival easier and less stressful if you're late. A dedicated parking space was handy. If you don't have a car, there is a bus stop thirty seconds walk away. A warm welcome and some goodies on arrival. The villa had everything we needed from kitchen to lounge, bedroom and bathroom. It was very clean and comfortable. Great amenities like dish washer, washing machine (can pack less luggage) and cooker made life easier, as did the air conditioning and French windows. The shower was powerful and always hot with a backup boiler for cloudy days. There is a smart TV and apps for those with accounts or if you want to cast a show. Outside is a shaded deck with hot tub and a washing dryer with pegs. Location is ideal - turn right to reach Agios Nikolaos in about 10 minutes, turn left to reach Elounda in 2 minutes or continue to Plaka. Many beaches are nearby as are local attractions.

There isn't much to dislike. The villa was ideal as a couple but may be a bit small if you are a larger group. The kitchen could use a couple of extras like a jug, mixing bowl, baking tray and larger knife. Silly thing, but the light bulbs in the bedside lights are way too bright. Really minor - more something to check when you stay - the shower trap filter is fine and blocks quickly but it's easy to clean. We flooded the floor a bit the first time. If by some chance it rains - do not leave clothes on the drying rack under the decking shade as grime will end up on your washing (my mistake). If anything goes wrong, there is always help from the fabulous hosts!

The house is beautiful and very clean, everything is in place and the hosts left us a lovely welcome basket with wine, bread, butter, and jam

Nothing, the place was perfect
