Villa Luciana

We had a wonderful stay at this villa in Martina Franca, Puglia. The property is absolutely amazing – the grounds are huge, beautifully maintained, and create the perfect setting for a relaxing holiday. The garden is gorgeous, and we especially loved the outdoor dining area and lounge spaces with comfortable couches where we spent many evenings enjoying the warm Italian summer atmosphere. The villa has a charming, authentic Italian summer vibe, with spacious bedrooms and very large bathrooms that made our stay extremely comfortable. An added bonus is the separate guest house, which can accommodate up to four people and has its own kitchen and living room. It offers extra privacy and flexibility, making the property ideal for large families or groups of friends traveling together. The location is also fantastic. Martina Franca is a beautiful town with a stunning historic center full of charming Italian streets, elegant baroque architecture, and a wonderful atmosphere, especially in the evenings. We enjoyed exploring its picturesque alleys and trying several excellent trattorias and restaurants. It is the perfect base for discovering the beauty of Puglia while enjoying authentic Italian culture and cuisine.

There are just a couple of small things that could make the experience even better. The kitchen in the main house feels a bit small for a property that can accommodate up to 11 guests, and having a microwave would be a huge plus. Simple tasks like heating water or milk for morning coffee require using the stove. Additionally, the living room could benefit from an extra couch and a nice coffee table in the center. This would create a cozier atmosphere and make it an even better space for families and groups to gather and spend time together. One thing worth mentioning, is that the villa does not have a washing machine and would be a valuable addition to the property. While this wasn't a deal-breaker for us for a week-long stay, it can make laundry arrangements a bit more complicated especially for larger groups planning a longer stay. These are relatively minor suggestions, though, and they certainly did not take away from our overall experience. We had a fantastic stay at Villa Luciana and would happily recommend this villa to anyone visiting Puglia.

Όλα ήταν τέλεια, πολύ καλό προσωπικό μας βοήθησαν σε ότι χρειάζομασταν!!! Πολύ πολύ καθαρά όλα! Ο Κήπος εκπληκτικός. Γενικότερα θα το ξανά προτιμούσα.

Τα στρώματα στα κρεβάτια ήταν λίγο άβολα ειδικά των ατομικών.

La villa è splendida. Completamente immersa nel verde, tutto curato nel minimo dettaglio. Molto spaziosa all interno e camere da letto comode con un soggiorno ampio e dotato di caminetto. Inoltre il proprietario molto disponibile. Pulizia perfetta. Grazie ancora e alla prossima

We were a group of 10 friends travelling (3 families) and we chose Villa Luciana because it looked beautiful on the pictures, including a big garden with lovely trees and was a short distance from Martina Franca. Unfortunately, our good impressions end here.

Heating problem, no wi-fi, no basic bathroom facilities, humidity in the smaller building next to the main villa In fact, the villa consists of 3 separate premises (buildings) – the main building of the villa, another smaller building about 20m away and a third one. Due to the number and configuration of people, we had to occupy the main building and one of the 2 smaller buildings. While the host’s representative was showing us around, she never mentioned that the smaller building lacks essentials like: wi-fi and proper heating. This we discovered additionally by ourselves, in a very unpleasant way. Since the host asked us to contact them 1,5 hours before arrival, which we did, they had plenty of time to check and make sure everything at the property works and there are no issues. Unfortunately, this had not been the case. As the weather was unstable, with rain from time to time and changing temperatures, it was fairly cold inside and we wanted to turn on the heating. This didn’t work in the smaller building where 2 families from our group were staying. After several attempts, we texted the host. She sent us a video instruction – we followed it and it didn’t work. So on the first night, we had to sleep in the cold. The temperature outside, in the open air, and inside, in the rooms and bathrooms, was the same – cold. Adding the fact that there is no wi-fi, no coffee machine (just moka pots), no coffee cups, no basic cosmetics in the bathroom (just some remnants of liquid soap for hands, which ended at the 3rd pumping of the bottle) in the small building, we basically had to “suffer” the first night and were forced first thing in the morning to go to the main villa to warm a little and feel normal again. In the morning, we texted the host and asked her to come over and fix the heating issue. She said an operator (probably an electrician) needs to be involved and she suggested time slots during the day when we should wait for him to come and fix the issue.
