The location is very good.
The room was big enough for our family of 4.
This shouldn't be advertised as a hotel.
The room was dirty (floor, walls). The shower smelled like sewage. The sink was clogged. Rooms were not made everyday. Breakfast was very very limited with no milk for muesli to name something. Window glass was broken. Heating had a leak.

The location of the hotel for a 1 night stay was perfect, close to the train station and easily walkable to any shops / restaurants. The room was very quiet and comfortable
I didn't find anything not to like.

Close to staubbach falls.
When we check in, around 7pm no one is in the building and they just left the key in the front. Their sink is clog and the toilet was not flush when i open the toilet.

The location is excellent. The room is big and cozy.
The pillows are very small. They are impossible to sleep with. It is too hot even when snowing.

Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is old but our room had renovated bathroom, it was warm and comfortable so all one needs. We had fondue and 2 deserts in the restaurant which were very good. For those who chase waterfalls photos: you can see it from the balcony or bathroom.
As the hotel is old one can hear people opening and closing the door in the corridor. Main light switch didn’t work in our room but we had 2 bed lamps which were absolutely enough.

breakfast fantastic... view from the room spectacular!
The hostess Madelena? was brilliant. She deserves a medal. She's such a hard worker and very efficient.
The shower. Not strong. Changing from hot to cold to warm. Not pleasant.

Fantastic location. Well priced for the typemof space we needed. Easy check in and check out.
The room layout was a little odd the only bathroom was located off the « entrance bedroom ». It ended up not being an issue, but some may find this layout unacceptable.

Location was really good and we had the view of waterfall in every room...apartment was clean and had everything we needed. Had free parking on site
The lady in the reception was kinda rude, acted like she doesn't want to do the job. Checking time was at 16:00 pm and in my opinion it's way too late meanwhile other places are open for checking after 14.30 pm. And the mattresses are very thin and uncomfortable. I hope they solve these problems.

the view is incredible
Outdated and neglected facilities, dirty, musty smell, no TV, hair dryer, mini fridge, they are only going to change the bathroom garbage bags, uncomfortable pillows, dust, the extra payment for the view was the best thing

Not client centric.

The only nice thing about the location was the proximity to the Staubbach Falls
BE WARNED- Pictures looked NOTHING like what our room was like. Unprofessional and rude/unkind hostess, railing to go up/down stairs is broken, No housekeeping, POOR quality linens, pillows smell like dirty feet, poor lighting, mold in bathroom exposed wires in ceiling light, broken chairs you can’t sit on, broken bed, no electrical in bathroom, bathroom counter overlaps toilet, mold and mold spores throughout bathroom, extremely poor lighting in bathroom, bathroom door doesn’t close let alone lock, no thermostat for the room, unkempt bushes outside the windows with swarming mosquitoes which prevent opening any windows for fresh air. This place should be condemned. I bet it was a great place in the 60s. Nothing has been done since

The only thing I liked about this hotel is the location. If it wasn't for that I would like to give this hotel 0 stars.
No one should stay at this hotel! There are no elevators and you have to drag your luggage up and down 3 flights of stairs. If you are at all physically challenged you cannot stay here! There are stairs from the moment you walk into the hotel all the way to your room. The rooms are very run down and old. There is no storage in the room. The bathroom is very small and the heater was on full blast in the bathroom it was so hot in there and you could not turn it down. One of the doors on the closets was broken. The shower was very small and it had no shelves. To come to think of it there was no storage in the bathroom at all and we had to put all of our stuff on the floor. We never got fresh towels for a 5 night stay. Housecleaning put a bag with toilet paper and coffee stuff on our door 2 days of the 5 days we were there. They never came into our room to clean anything. We had to put our garage for 3 days out in the hallway to get collected.we had one little table and one chair in the room. And the staff were rude. I would never stay at this hotel ever again!

This beautiful hotel was in the center of town with a restaurant at the bottom so at any point we could walk downstairs for excellent food and drink. There are amazing views of the mountains and waterfalls no matter where your room is. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was up to date with great water pressure and hot water. All of the staff, especially Madeline, are incredibly helpful and kind. Whenever we come back we will be lucky to stay here again.
The images attached are apfelkuchen that we got at the restaurant downstairs and views from our balcony with snacks we bought at the farmers market.

It was quiet and close to the waterfalls
Room maintenance. There were no lights in the bathroom that worked. And hardly any outlets in the bedroom or bathroom

Surprisingly the mattress was comfortable and the car parking was free, apart from that nothing much.
I stayed for second time at this hotel after a gap of 11 years and standard seems to have went downhill.
The price that you pay for at this hotel is for the Location, views and the place. If you just plan for crash for the night after a long day of hiking and sightseeing, Go For It.
No vacuuming or thorough cleaning during 4 days of my stay. Had to consistently clean our feats, after walking bare foot in the room for sometime.

The location is excellent, a few minutes walk from the train station, a supermarket, a water fountain and the Lauterbrunnen Dorf bus stop. We got a nice view on the waterfall. The room was clean.
It is written that the check-in time is from 16:00-20:00, we tried to contact the hotel on WhatsApp to inform them of our late arrival without success. They replied to our message on Booking after a few hours telling us that the keys are waiting for us. We were worried the whole time!!
The keys were in an envelope with our name.

The location
We stayed for 5 days but never that they vacuum the floors. They just empty the trash, that’s all. No aircone I understand but the windows does not have screen, a lots of little flies. They forgot to refill the coffee sachet and when I ask, downstairs is their restaurant and said they don’t know where to get. The linens were not change at all for 5 days. No supply of drinking bottle water at all. The facilities need renovations especially the furnitures , the floors, etc. Over all my experienced is not good with the prize that I paid.

The location is perfect. The staubach falls, coop, train station are easily walkable. Many restaurants nearby. The room comes with a balcony so you can enjoy your meals with a view. The water kettle works :). You get the basic toiletries and towels. Didn't try the breakfast but it looked good.
There is nobody at the reception. You need to go to the restaurant. The main person handling the check ins is primarily focused on the restaurant. I had to wait for like 30 min for her to talk to me. They handed over the key to me but they did not know the room number. It was not even mentioned on the key chain. They gave me a random guess and I had to go 2 floors up and down via stairs 2 times to get my correct room. Upon asking the room number the in charge started shouting the numbers in a rude manner.
Parking is limited and is always full. But luckily I was allowed to park in a reserved park space opposite the hotel.
The room doors do not lock properly. There is a narrow gap in between and therefore there's no privacy at all.
The shower water flow is very very slow. I'd rather take a shower in the nearby staubach falls (if they'd allow), that would be quicker.

The location and view were excellent
Once you enter the building up a spiral stair through the side entrance, the smell was terrible. Someone had sprayed air freshener to try and cover it but it was terrible. Be aware there is no lift, only stairs. You enter the room through the bathroom so if you are sharing with a friend who is using the bathroom and you are in the bedroom, you can’t get out. Even if you are with a partner, it means getting out of the room exposes them to the hotel hallway. The room was hot with no air con or fan for summer. The bed was absolutely terrible. The pillows had minimal filling. You could feel every spring and the bed frame itself was loose so every time my husband moved, there was a lot of loud noise so I couldn’t sleep. The bathroom was tiny and horrendous. Mould in all the silicone around the shower, the shower curtain had not been cleaned in some time and had a blackish/pink stain around the bottom edge. The toilet seat was only loosely held on by 1 fixing so it moved around and when you tried to flush the toilet by the side lever the whole cistern moved down the wall. There was a hairdryer at some stage but the wires had been cut to remove it and left hanging out of the wall. The wall tiles may have been painted and something that was wall mounted had been removed at some point so the original tiles and screw holes had been left unrepaired in a couple of places. There was a crack in the ceiling with some mould in it and the door to the hallway was rotting along the bottom edge from water damage. You could also hear people in other rooms and in the hallway.

The location is good. Toilet is newly refurbished. Staff is friendly and understanding.
The layout of the apartment is odd and the facilities are not well maintained for example half of the hob knobs is missing. Even though it states there is a balcony, I dare don’t step onto it fearing it will come down anytime.

The location.
Climbed 4 storeys to the room with my luggage and there’s 5-6 flights of stairs. No lift.
Asked staff if there’s anyone that could help, just a simple “NO, can’t help…”

Our views were incredible, from the bathroom, the bedroom the balcony. Where ever you looked were spectacular views. The room was comfortable with tea and coffee facilities and the staff were very helpful when we asked for more milk and coffee sachets but the best part were the views. The location was very good.
The curtain had come off part of the rail with broken curtain hooks and the room was quite noisy, it sounded like furniture moving around. The balcony table need a good wipe from the last people who had stayed there with crumbs left all over the table.

Location
We were really looking forward to our stay at this hotel in Switzerland, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. Check-in was scheduled for 4 PM, yet we were left waiting for over an hour without any apology or explanation. No water, refreshments, or gesture of goodwill was offered during the wait, which set a poor tone for our arrival.
The service throughout the stay didn’t improve. Housekeeping was below basic expectations—they didn’t change or empty the trash bins, replace the blankets, or even restock the coffee and tea packets. It felt like the room was barely serviced at all.
Overall, the lack of communication, care, and hospitality was truly disheartening. For a hotel in such a beautiful country, we expected a much better standard of service. Sadly, we would not recommend this hotel based on our experience.

It was hard to find in the dark.

The hotel was dirty and run down. However the bed linen was clean and the bathroom looks like it was recently redone. There appeared to be no staff at the hotel. The room facilities were lacking ie no writing table or television. All in all a very poorly managed hotel and probably the worst hotel I have stayed in since 1971 -the first time I ever stayed in a hotel outside my home country.
2.0 / 10.0
Whole place was shut down and dingy. No facilities. All we had in our room was a kettle which needed an adapter to use it and 2 cups (we booked for 3 people) (no fridge, coffees, teas, welcome pack etc) None of the electric plug holes fitted our plugs. Had to all take turns using the adapter which was attached to the kettle. Restaurant was closed the whole time. No staff to be found anywhere. At night time the whole town was dark. Not even a floodlight on the pretty church which is shown in all the night photos of Lauterbrunnen online. Stayed 4 nights and it was the worst and most expensive stay of our 4 week holiday to Europe. Roadworks at the driveway into the carpark so road workers told us we couldn't enter, tried calling hotel for ages with no answer, it was all locked up.
Ridiculous price. Absolutely No facilities. Tiny room. No space. No TV (even the lounge down the hall did NOT have a tv in it)

The location is very nice.
It's in the middle of town.
Access to the large waterfall and other attractions is a plus.
The value for the accommodations. In retrospect, I would much rather have paid more money to stay at a nicer facility.
The room smelled funny.
There is a fair amount of hallway noise that comes through.
The beds are mediocre.

Location and a nice view.
Well, it is clear that the owner of this property doesn’t care about this property nor guests experiences. This is not even close to Swiss standards! The floors are dirty and cheap fake wood. There is mold around windows. The decor is selected from various thrift shoppes. Not quaint nor stylish. The walls in corridors and rooms are banged up and dirty. The exterior is long past due for cleaning and new paint. Paint is coming off almost everywhere we look. Cigarettes are in all of the planters, there are flooded and slimy balconies. Even though the website indicates that there are coffee/tea makers and breakfast available, none of those were actually available. There is mold in the rooms.

Generally, the hotel view is really nice (if you have booked with a balcony) and the hotel rooms are relatively clean.
Staff are accommodating with our request like checking or changing rooms and waited for us on our 1st day despite its late and beyond their working hours which we appreciate it so much.
There is no breakfast provided as the hotel starts only at 11 or so and only serve lunch and dinner .
No basic necessity like shampoo or soap, no hair dryer or even complimentary water.
Rooms are not properly checked if doors are properly working or not. And the stairs to go up is very uncomfortable (particularly the spiral staircase on the first floor) esp if there is a lugagge to carry up.
