Quiet, very peaceful

The positioning of the apartment was great. It was close to the gym and the Canal Walk Mall. The unit was very neat and uncluttered. Had everything I needed and lovely views of the canal.

I was missing a pan to cook with but the cleaner quickly rectified this when I asked.

first of all they made us wait 2 hrs cause apparently the room was not ready but it was already past our check in time , we even fell asleep on the couch while other guests were getting attention

The property we stayed at has so much potential. Just such a pity that it is not properly cleaned and maintained. Problems we experienced: 1. We booked at "Island Club", but stayed in "Ibiza". Being from out of town, arriving late at night to stay in a place you've never visited before, directions received on the map was quite confusing. Finding our parking spot was quite easy, but finding our apartment was a nightmare. We walked up and down with all our luggage late at night trying to find our apartment. When we phoned the reservations, we were told to look for 'Block B'. There is not a single signage on any of the buildings that indicated where this 'Block B' is. We finally got help from a resident at another building who helped us get to our apartment - in block called "Ibiza". You will understand that it is confusing as we booked "The Island Club", but stayed in "Ibiza". 2. The apartment is set in a beautiful location. but is poorly cleaned / maintained: a) No mattress protectors on the mattresses. b) Duvet inner of especially the main bedroom of poor quality. It's paper thin. c) No extra blankets in the cupboards d) No flat sheets on the beds e) Main bed's linen was most definitely not changed after the previous guests' departure, as it still smelled of the lady's musk perfume which was utterly cringy. f) Spare bedroom was made up as a king bed, but had no bed converter on. It is very uncomfortable to sleep like that. g) Coffee mug chipped and 1 x teaspoon missing. As we arrived very late and left early the following morning to have breakfast elsewhere, we did not use / check the rest of the cutlery & crockery. h) The balcony / stoep furniture needs a good sand-down and varnish. i) Unit is painted with cheap white pva paint.
