Accommodation for Grand Prix

Comfortable bed & nice bathroom. Private parking and bike storage. Lovely supermarket within 5 min cycle. Hosts were very accommodating allowing us to park there early.

The cottage was fine as we were out all day at grandprix. Car needed as very hilly. It is very basic but all the essentials are there. No oven or dishwasher but they were not advertised. It is in a remote area so car/bikes needed.

Perfect for a short stay

Charming small house in a tiny village. The house has everything that you need and was perfect for the weekend that we were there. It is quite remote and you do need a car to get to the local shops. Proxy Delhaize in Ferrieres is well stocked, great baker a short drive away (l'atelier du theatre du pain) and a nice little restaurant (le Santé Bonheur). There are hiking and cycling paths nearby or it is a good base to visit towns in the surrounding area.

A door to the bathroom might be nice :-) but it's fine for a couple. Also the sensor to the light on the stairs could be better directed (don't know if it is possible). If you are coming up in the dark, the light comes on only when you are at the top. There is a bbq but unfortunately some previous guest has left it in a disgusting state so you won't want to use it. Not the fault of the hosts, just some inconsiderate guest.

Fantastic little house at a perfect location in the Ardennes.

It was larger than we expected and had all utilities that we wished for. Easy parking right in front of the door, terrace when the sun is out, fast wifi with a TV & chromecast to stream, induction plate cooking.

Price/quality for our stay was amazing, we would love to come back!

good for two people, no more

- master bedroom upstairs was very nice and big so was the bathroom - mosquito nets

- washing machine stated in the description was not there - double sofa bed in the living room downstairs was too short even for a 12 years old kid (and with "mattress" a bit stained) - full of flies, we could not eat in the dining table outside and we had to keep door closed (windows has mosquito nets luckily)

De lattenbodem van het bed verschuift, ze vallen eruit. Dat zou wel vervangen/ vastgezet moeten worden.

Le calme

La vétusté de la maison, l'état général de l'entretien, la propreté inexistante, toile d'araignée partout., saleté au niveau du canapé, décoré avec mauvais goût, tt est dépareillé, fait de bric a brac, et une odeur de poisson ds le freezer, ..nous ne reviendrons jamais clairement!!!!

Entspannt urlauben in einem urigen Cottage in der Wallonie

Das Fagnoul hat etwas von einem kleinen britischen Cottage, was uns gut gefallen hat. Es war picobello sauber, ist sehr gut ausgestattet und das Bett ist super bequem. Hervorzuheben ist auch das schöne großzügige Bad mit toller Dusche. Die vom Haus inbegriffene Bettwäsche roch frisch genauso wie die Handtücher. Es stand Kaffee und Tee zur Verfügung bereit. Den Vermieter haben wir nicht persönlich kennengelernt, er war aber immer per mail erreichbar. Insgesamt ist das Haus wirklich klein, auch der Außenbereich, es wirkt auf den Fotos deutlich größer, aber dafür ist der Platz perfekt ausgenutzt. Für zwei ( mit Hund) optimal. Die Gegend drum herum lädt zu Wanderungen ein. Vor allem entlang der Ourth ist es sehr schön.

Nicht gefallen trifft es nicht, nur ein Hinweis für Menschen, die eine körperliche Einschränkung haben: die Treppe zu Bad und Schlafzimmer ist schmal und recht steil.

Heerlijke plek om de rust op te zoeken

Het is een heerlijk huisje in een heel rustig dorpje. Het huisje is van alle gemakken voorzien en alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. Wij waren hier met oudejaarsdag vanwege het vuurwerk in Nederland. Als je hond bang is voor vuurwerk is dit een ideale plek. Je hoorde alleen heel erg in de verte om 12 uur wat vuurwerk maar dat is niet noemenswaardig. De wifi is super en je kan makkelijk koken in het huisje. Parkeren voor de deur is ook praktisch en het dorpje 5 minuten verderop heeft een supermarkt. Als je opzoek bent naar rust is dit een erg fijn huisje. Ook in de wintermaanden erg fijn want de verwarming wordt heerlijk warm. De sleutels konden we uit het sleutelkastje pakken en er lag een instructieboekje en wat lekkers op tafel. Het huisje was ook netjes schoon en er was een stofzuiger aanwezig wat voor ons erg fijn was ivm de honden die wij mee brachten. Wij hebben geen extra kosten betaald voor de honden die werd ook erg gewaardeerd door ons.

Het huisje is erg gehorig. De mensen in het huis er tegen aan kon je duidelijk horen en er werd veel met de deuren geslagen dit dreunde erg door in de slaapkamer. De badkamer wordt niet echt warm omdat er geen deur in zit. Verder is een gordijn voor de buitendeur ook wel prettig er is nu veel inkijk en maakt dat er minder privacy is. Wij hadden al gezien in de beoordelingen dat de banken niet echt comfortabel zijn dit klopt ook wel maar wij vonden het prima voor die korte periode dat we daar verbleven. Verder zijn de pannen wel echt toe aan vervanging de grootste koekenpan valt bijna uit elkaar. Waar de hosts niks aan konden doen maar wel lastig is als je komt met een hond is de hond tegenover het huisje die veel buiten zit en niet vriendelijk is en de loslopende honden in het dorp. Dit maakt eigenlijk dat je niet in het dorp zelf kan wandelen voor een korte ronde. Een afgesloten tuin zou het verblijf dan ook prettiger maken zodat je niet direct vreemde honden bij de ingang hebt.

Gezellig huisje

Mooi gelegen knus huis in een landelijke omgeving. Vanuit het huis loop je bijna meteen de natuur in en er zijn mooie wandelroutes dichtbij.

Twee kleinigheden: de bank in de woonkamer en wij zouden liever een lage eettafel hebben met gewone stoelen in plaats van de hoge tafel met krukken die er nu staat.

Leuk huisje

Gezellig, knus huisje waar alles in zit wat je nodig hebt voor een fijn weekend of midweek. In een klein rustig dorpje. Schoon en redelijk compleet. Fijn bed. Nette badkamer. Mooie prijs kwaliteit verhouding. Fijne (mid)week gehad.

De wandelroutes dichtbij zijn in de herfst erg modderig (kan de verhuurder natuurlijk niks aan doen, is het seizoen). Het huisje zou iets meer luxe mogen hebben qua servies, kookplaat (2 platen maar), oventje en zitcomfort in huiskamer. Als je adverteert met badartikelen aanwezig dan moet dat er ook zijn, nu 2 rollen wc papier, handzeep en per persoon 1 washand, kleine- en normale handdoek aanwezig. Als we zelf niks hadden meegenomen hadden we het er niet mee gered.

De charme van het huisje en de persoonlijke toets van de eigenaars en de sfeer van de Ardennen. Alles is er en alles werkt.

Voor ons niets maar als je echt op grote luxe valt dan is dit niet je ding.
