Explore San Diego-Balboa Park-Little Italy-Gaslamp

Fantastic apartment I really enjoyed staying there. The manager on site was a lovely person, warm and friendly, extremely helpful, even got me an uber for the airport and paid for it, I insisted on reimbursing him but typical of his hospitality. I did like the close location to Balboa park, a great place to spend lots of time, more than a dozen museums, zoo and theatre.

A very small dislike on my part as I like walking, but others may find it a long walk to Gaslamp or the bay front.

The place was great overall. The host was very helpful and responsive! I enjoyed that I had a little balcony and the room was quite large, comfortable, and clean. The location was nice as I could just cross the street and get to Balboa Park (to see El Prado, museums, & the zoo) and could also walk down to the waterfront in about 20 minutes. Great for exploring San Diego for the first time.

The main downside is that it is located right under the flight path, so you can hear the planes coming in (rather frequently). The host provided earplugs which was definitely helpful for sleeping. I wasn't in the room very often, so it was not a huge problem for me, but if you plan to stay in you may want to consider this as it will be distracting. To get to the apartments you will need to walk up 1-4 flights of stairs, so if you need accessibility this would not work.

Property is exactly as advertised. It’s clean and everything works well!

I had a little trouble with the lock codes at first. But staff was very Responsive and even walked me thru the process.

Cutlery is provided.

The amount of trash around the area and dead animal smell from the squirrel that had died around the corner. The neighbor was really loud screaming out the window early in the morning. There was lots of homeless people camping out at the park where you can park your car but it didn’t really feel safe to leave it anywhere. Also didn’t like that it upcharges per guest. I should’ve just stayed at a hotel. Parking in the metered areas is also pricey but no where felt safe to leave the car. Parking garage in front of property isn’t even open because it looked like homeless people had taken over. Check out instructions were provided hours after I had departed the property.
