Explore Balboa Park From Your Cozy Studio w Patio

Great location, directly across from balboa park, you walk out your door and you have access to tons of great walking trails, the museums and all that the park has to offer. Really be sure to take full advantage!! The property itself is clean and well maintained, the owner of the building is SO pleasant and is always on site if you need anything!

There’s not much I didn’t like, I live in San Diego ( my house flooded so I had to book a place 😂) and for the area ( which is a little ‘deeper’ downtown than I would typically stay) it’s just great. I felt safe, the property is fully gated and always felt secure.

The room was bigger than expected providing extra comfort during my stay. Being near Balboa park was convenient as you can spend a whole day exploring the parks and museums.

Parking, it would've been great if we could get discounted parking for a longer stay. Because we weren't locals we didn't realise we had parked in a construction zone and ended up getting our car towed.

very cute & clean; private. convenient walkable area - so close to the park. my daughter & her husband moved to SD 2yrs ago so I visit them and my new grandbaby a few times a year; I don't know the area and they are also still learning so I never really knew good areas to stay, and I just played it safe and always stayed in hotel circle bc everyone said it was "central, clean and safe". but it is not very convenient if you don't travel with a car. this location is much better (for me) - several restaurants very close by, cvs half a block away for easy access to grab water and snacks. the area felt fairly safe to me, and it was nice being able to explore the park when I'd leave the family at night, instead of being stuck in my room with nothing nearby to do (like at hotel circle). a nice uber driver also gave me info on the local public transit in the area, so I could explore more and spend less on ubers. I will 100% be staying in this area in the future.

the access codes and check-in instructions are a little confusing .. one crazy long run-on paragraph. needs to be written better to read it easier. toilet had sign over it saying to not flush toilet paper ???? um. what the heck do you want me to do with it then ? there were no other instructions, and no receptacle to place used tp in. I saw reviews saying the bed was unstable and uncomfortable, but they were from 2023 so I figured that was probably fixed by now - it wasn't. it was the most obnoxiously squeaky bed, and it kind of rocked when you moved around, like it had been broken or something. could not figure out the damn tv. I'd turn it on and it would just cycle on a screen that said Roku, flashing off and on. my trip wasn't about watching tv, but it would've been nice to fall asleep to a movie, bc it's kinda loud (planes overhead, thin walls, a lot of echoing / nothing absorbing sound) you *will* hear planes & your neighbors - if you're a light sleeper I do not recommend. everything is very echoey, and the stairwell outside your door amplifies every sound, every step, I could hear every word ppl said. but I live in an apartment with a family of 5 upstairs, the 3 kids are 8 & under .. so I was primed for most of the noise. again - if I could've used the tv to drown some of it out that would've been nice.

Muchos homeless y muy sucio afuera en el parking de la calle.
