Enchanting Highlands Cottage w/ Pond & Waterfall

The setting was delightful. We loved the cabin. The upstairs bedroom and sitting area was lovely.

The downstairs remote for the heating/cooling system did not work. The upstairs did work. It was 37 degrees one day and it was pretty cool downstairs. The unit worked but we could not control the temperature.

Very charming mountain cabin. Exceptionally clean and beds were comfortable!

I wish there would’ve been a TV in at least one of the downstairs bedrooms to avoid everyone fighting over the upstairs room. Not a deal-breaker but would have been ideal. The one real issue we had was that the upstairs shower leaked and dripped onto the downstairs floor. We texted the contact for the rental (specified text or email was preferred communication method) and never received a response through the rest of our stay. Because we did not want to chance further leakage, we all used the downstairs bathroom for the next 2 days, which was not convenient.

I would suggest adding a set of steak knives.

The cottage was beautiful and relaxing! It was a nice and cozy place to hang out whether inside or out. We appreciated the complimentary laundry supplies and kitchen stock.

We found out the coffee maker wasn’t working on our first morning. So, we contacted Julia as instructed in the booklet. Julia didn’t respond for 6 hours and when she did text back she asked the property address. After I responded, Julia never contacted me back. Never asked if we’d like it fixed or if we were just informing her, nothing. Thank goodness nothing more concerning happened that we’d need fixed asap. It’s just disappointing we couldn’t enjoy coffee on the back deck every morning.
