About this cabin rental
This cabin was built to look like it was from the 1800s, but renovated just enough to keep the feeling alive while having the comforts of modern day like Wi-Fi and a TV in each bedroom! This cabin can host 8 guests comfortably along with a fully stocked kitchen and high end bedding! You’ll feel like you’ve truly escaped and gone back in time while sitting on the back porch rocking chairs overlooking a small creek. Tucked away to feel super secluded but located close about a mile from downtown! This house also has an instagram page @trippscabin and was renting from there- all rentals now will go through here! This is an adorable cabin in the woods. It’s very quaint and cozy. House is roomier than appears and is very well stocked with all you could need. Plenty of towels, bedding, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. Our stay was in July and it was hot. The house has one window unit down stairs in the master bedroom and a portable a/c unit upstairs. This does not cool the house well at all. It was comfortable for sleeping but nothing else. The house was very hot during the day and evening time. I am quite sure 9 months of the year it’s very comfortable but I do not recommend a summer stay for this reason. The WiFi never worked for us even though we were connected. We had little to no cell signal. We were unable to use the tvs because of this but there were plenty of tvs for use. If WiFi is a must for you then this will not be good fit for you. If you want to be unplugged then the location would be ideal. There is one shower as described. With seven of us, we all showered nightly but never once ran out of warm water.

Great time and wonderful location. Quiet...15-minute walk to town...we saw bear from the back patio. Owner is very responsive and accommodating. An upstairs shower would be a game-changer.

First let me say, this is a very cute, nicely decorated “rustic” cabin. However, there was no WiFi or cell service in the home- we had to go into town to use our phones. There is no way to make emergency calls or receive messages. I spoke to the owner about this and she did confirm they were changing services this month; however, I would confirm that before renting if that is important to you. There was also a strong mold smell downstairs in the bathroom/bedroom. This home is very rustic as in it feels like you are going to camp which is charming if that’s what you are looking for! It is also well stocked with everything you need. If the few issues were addressed that we encountered then I think the experience would much improve.
