The traditional cottage is very clean, had a comfy large bed and good hot shower. The gardens around the cottages are well maintained. The local dishes were tasty and the breakfast was varied and hearthy. We highly appreciated the dinners along the lake with a campfire carefully looked after by the security staff. A very special thank you to Prince - our waiter - who was super attentive to our needs throughout our stay and yet very discrete. A true professional. Overall we had a nice stay.

Tip for the hotel management. Get rid of the Heineken parasols and the extra plastic tables & chairs. They don’t do justice to the natural beauty and authenticity of the resort, which is a pitty. While all other meals we had were tasty, the salads we tried for lunch were dissappointing. They were more like a side dish and had no seasoning. You get mayonaise, ketchup and pilipili sauce with all the dishes. A nice homemade vinaigrette could already make a difference. It’s a pity swimming is not allowed in Muhazi lake. This has nothing to do with the hotel.

The rooms are spacious and the beds are quite comfortable. There are lovely views over the lake, although greenhouses are visible on the opposite side. The restaurant staff were extremely kind.

The hotel was quite busy during our stay, and the restaurant played music until late (it was turned off after we raised the issue). Unfortunately, a group of very impolite guests continued talking loudly and listening to music on their terrace until 3am, next to our room. After asking them to keep the noise down, they moved inside and carried on talking until 5am, which made it very difficult for us to sleep.
