Definitely unique in its own way, with a great location. It was also very reassuring to know that there was always someone on the other end of the phone if we needed anything. A special thank you to Ryan and Phil for being so helpful.

A really nice place to spend a few days in Broadstairs. Filled with pieces that point to Dickens and Dickensian times. Sleeps 3 with layout on 4 floors....kitchen, living, the top two floors for beds and bathroom. A carpeted spiral staircase connects all floors. A well equipped kitchen for those who self cater. Ideally situated close to restaurants, beach and pubs makes this holiday let the perfect getaway.

We found the mattresses on the twin beds rather lumpy.

My daughter, my 7 year old grandson and myself, lived the location, beaches clean, soft golden sands, rock pools, life guards on beach, great places to eat

Would be unfair to say anything bad, my daughter and Myself could not find any thing to conplain about our trip

We stayed here for two nights while attending a family birthday party in the local area. The property is full of character, and the décor really suits the theme. We loved all the old trinkets and little knick-knacks, which made it interesting to explore. The living room, which you enter directly from the front door, was particularly cosy. We can imagine it would be especially lovely in the winter with the fire lit. The property is arranged over four floors, with the kitchen in the basement, the living room on the ground floor, the bathroom and double bedroom on the next floor, and the twin bedroom at the top. This layout is explained in the property description, as are the steep spiral staircases. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the shower was very powerful. The TV worked well, with Freeview and apps such as BBC iPlayer and ITVX available. There was also a radio, reliable Wi-Fi, and we didn't need to use the heating as the weather was lovely during our stay.

Unfortunately, there were a few issues. While the listing explains that there are steep spiral staircases, it doesn't make clear that there are no secure handrails fixed to the walls. During the first night, I fell down one of the staircases while making my way from the top-floor bedroom to the bathroom. As a result, I suffered significant bruising and a haematoma and am now struggling to walk without considerable pain. I genuinely feel this accident could have been prevented if secure handrails had been fitted alongside the stairs. My mum also found the stairs too difficult and wouldn't go down to the basement kitchen, meaning she couldn't use the kitchen facilities. Thankfully, this wasn't a major issue for us as we were visiting family each day and didn't need to cook. We also had a maintenance worker let himself into the property one morning while we were still in our nightwear because he hadn't realised the property was occupied. He apologised, said he would return later, and did come back and placed the new hose. Overall, we enjoyed the character and comfort of the property, but because of the stairs and the lack of secure handrails, we personally wouldn't stay again. If proper handrails were installed in the future, we would certainly consider returning.
