The Local Guest House Lisbon

Great location and very pleasant host Carina. It had a shared bathroom but it was cleaned frequently and not too busy. Overall, we had everything we needed and experience was great.

It was quite noise as our room was facing the street. Additionally, no AC but that is typical for many guest houses. Carina provided a fan for us later on ao it helped a little.

Restrictive check-in times. Our flight was late and we almost didn't make it there by six!

The place is very clean, bed is comfy, good shower, TV and is close to a metro station, on the line straight to the airport. It also has a part right outside the door for a walk and a supermarket round the corner. You can also eat in a local place just a block away. The fact of having the kitchen was very good. Kitchen was super clean! The room had a big window, a super comfy chair and the bathroom had window as well!! Note to the host - A foldable luggage rack would be a great addition to the room

It is very restrictive in terms of arrival, you have to arrive before 6pm or otherwise you pay a 30 euro fee!!! They do make it clear though. You can leave your luggage there only until 4pm. In my case, my flight was in the evening, so I was hoping to collect my luggage around 5pm, but I had to rush back and I was received with the luggage right at the door. I asked if I could use the toilet to at least change clothes and the corridor to put in the suitcase what I have bought during the morning. It was ok, but felt a bit unwelcomed. Staff wasn't really very friendly and I had the feeling they just wanted one out of there. However, they were good in pointing where find stuff around the area. The smell to the aromatizer in the room and the toilet is super strong. In summer time may be ok as windows can be fully open to balance it a bit, otherwise, it is very strong to be in (in winter, if windows can't be open to air the room may be tricky). It was a bit tricky to fill the information requested in advance, I thought I had completed it, but then it wasn't. The person on the phone was helpful and let me know that it wasn't yet complete and what I had to do.

Good location, clean facilities.

Sounds from street are very loud in the room. Would not recommend it to any light sleepers/ bring earplugs.
