The Villa has a great layout of bedrooms/beds and bathrooms, with a large open social kitchen/diner and lounge. The outdoor area was well kept and although the pool isn't heated it was lovely to swim in, the outdoor shower was good and warm. There was enough crockery and cutlery as well as good sized saucepan and frying pans, bowls etc for the 7 of us. We didn't cook there much but when we did everything was there that we needed. It was a 15 minute walk along the main road to get to the nearest grocery store and a few minutes further after a right turn to get to a bigger supermarket. We had breakfast most days at the Villa, but I would recommend eggs and fries at the Dubrovnik restaurant near St James Church. From the Villa it's around a 25 minute walk to St James with a choice of 3 routes, either along the main road or preferably for us we turned right out of the property and took a choice of 2 routes either along a farm track or straight up and round past a pretty cemetery, if you go straight on at the cemetery you can follow a route up to the path to Cross Mountain.
There was nothing to dislike about the property, it seems quite new so there's a few little things like the uneven driveway entry, it could do with a few more hooks in the bathroom for towels and shelves for clothes/personal items but nothing that affected our time there. It was a good place to relax away from the busyness of Medugorje. The initial problem is that Booking.com doesn't appear to have the correct map location for this Villa Elena so our Airport Taxi took us to another property the other side of Medugorje which had a very similar name and is a B&B which I must admit supplied us with excellent coffee for €1 and arranged a taxi for us to the correct property which was €5. We used the same taxi driver more than once during the week. So it worked out fine.
