PARADISE Laguna Vain

Hotel PARADISE Laguna Vain is in a beautiful lagoon nature reserve. The building is an interesting circular shape with brilliant facilities. We had a large family room, called Big Room 1, which had a double, single and bunk beds. A changing area, large bathroom and large balcony. The pool is excellent with plenty of sun loungers, and dining tables dotted around. You can order drinks and snacks to the pool with the waiters. The restaurant was good with a decent breakfast Albanian breakfast, including meat, cheese, yogurt, eggs, pancakes, bread, water juices and coffee. We had an evening meal which was also very tasty (we recommend the homemade wine). We also enjoyed watching the sun set from the roof top bar. The staff are all very friendly, especially the reception staff. We borrowed bikes from the hotel to cycle to the local beach. We also used reception to book a speed boat trip into Lezhë.

Being on a lagoon, in the evening there are quite a lot of mosquitos outside (inside is fine). The restaurant do their best if you plan to sit outside, with zappers and smoke repellents but you will still probably get bitten. The road leading to the hotel is an unpaved gravel road, so you will need to drive slowly and your can will probably get quite dusty.

This hotel and its staff were the highlight of our 11 day holiday.

Mosquitos were a nightmare, cant blame the hotel, you want the location, you get the mozzies

Amazing location. This authenticity that is missing on the rest of the Albanian coast staffed with kitch resorts. I liked the authenticity. The pool. Good breakfast, great dinner at good prices and smiling staff. Plenty of parking. Good WiFi, hot showers

The acoustics: one can hear everything outside the rooms - not much acoustic protection between the hall that is in tiles and the rooms. I didn’t like the smell diffusor installed in the air conditioning- I couldn’t stand the artificial smell of flowers so I had to sleep without air conditioning in very hot night. General remark: there is no elevator

The pool

The Breakfast was awful plus the server turns off the coffee machine at exactly 9.30 (Not one minute extra) Also we got yogurt the first morning and no yogurt the next 3 mornings…The bedrooms have no sound proofing…You can hear everything…..Doors banging,children screaming,people talking and in our case a couple fighting next door… There was a very bad smell in the bathroom.
