Casa Terra-Boa

Good view to the ocean, spacious terrace (even more terraces ;) ), presents from the host - this was a really nice gesture. Accommodation late in the evening (11 p.m.) due to a late flight - without any problems + easy process of check-in and check-out overall. The street was quite calm, and parking was available on the ground and on the street. The apartment was fine for two people - for more, it would be cramped. Wifi quite good.

It should have been a separate property, as per the description - it was really not obvious that it was a lower apartment in the house. The people upstairs were sometimes heard, even waking us up, from upstairs and the garage. Overall, the equipment/furnishing was a little "worn out" and should be renewed - the worst was the rust in the swimming pool and on the washing machine. In the kitchen (cupboards), there was a musty odour. The weak water flow in the shower, together with the hairs in the shower drainage from the previous host (already mentioned in the previous reviews). The second bathroom - missing air conditioning, together with a small window and a really small bed (cca 120cm) - is for 1 person, for more people, not possible to comfortably sleep.

Rustige locatie op een helling. Twee terrassen en een prive zwembad. Parkeren op eigen terrein, en air conditioning. Ook was het fijn dat er als een paar zaken aanwezig waren (zoals koffie, vaatwastabletten, wasmiddel). Arco de Calheta is een uitstekende uitvalsbasis om Madeira te verkennen. En de koffie bij de twee dichtsbijzijnde supermarkten is uitstekend en slechts 85 eurocent!

Het viel ons op dat vlak voor ons huis best hard gereden wordt. Dus uitkijken met wegrijden. Daarnaast was er weinig in de directe omgeving, lopen naar de supermarkt of een restaurantje was best intensief (stijle helling en zo'n 1,5 kilometer lopen). Wanneer je hier verblijft, moet je wel over een auto beschikken om het eiland te verkennen.

Der Pool zum abkühlen war schön. Und es gab Klimaanlagen.

Sauberkeit. Mussten den Duschkopf erstmal sauber machen. Da klebten Haare und Dreck dran. Außerdem waren Haare vom Vorgänger noch im Abflussbereich zu finden.
