Location, very nice large bed.

Would have liked a microwave oven.

The building was very charming, and the apartment was spacious. Either the soundproofing was excellent or there simply weren’t many other guests in the building, as it was very quiet. The bed was extremely comfortable, and we slept very well. Extra pillows on the bed were very much appreciated. The location was also excellent, within easy reach of many important attractions, as well as plenty of nice cafes and bars.

Unfortunately, we had several issues during our stay. The check-in information was sent exactly at 3:00 PM, which was also the stated check-in time. For a moment, we were genuinely worried that we might be left outside without access. It would be much more reasonable to send the codes 1–2 hours in advance and state that they would be valid from 3:00 PM onwards. Although the apartment appeared clean at first glance, there were significant cleanliness issues. There were visible food crumbs around and underneath the sofas, which we noticed when the host entered the apartment without our knowledge to make an extra bed. The tops of the cupboards were also extremely dusty and dirty. The shower grout was covered in black mould, apparently due to poor drainage. If you are tall, the shower is definitely not suitable for you. Showering was extremely uncomfortable and at times felt like torture. The bathroom sink was leaking from underneath, leaving muddy footprints and dirt on the white floor. There were also red stains on the kitchen paper towel, spices spilled on top of a cabinet, and a strong smell of cooking when we first entered. The sofas and the rug really need to be replaced. They are extremely stained and look very dirty, so we avoided using them as much as possible. Another particularly concerning issue occurred on our fourth day. When we returned in the late afternoon, we found that one of the living-room sofas had been converted into a bed. We had not been informed that anyone would enter the apartment. When we called the contact number, the response was essentially a “so what?” attitude rather than an apology or explanation. Having someone enter the apartment without our knowledge while our belongings were inside was extremely uncomfortable and made us feel unsafe.

Die Lage ist perfekt - sowohl vom Hauptbahnhof aus ist das Apartment gut mit der Tram zu erreichen als auch um Unternehmungen mit Tram, Bus, S-Bahn und zu Fuß zu machen. Die Bergstraße hat kaum Verkehr und ist ruhig. Mein Apartment lag zum Innenhof und seitlich zu einem kleinen Dachgarten. Das Restaurant Katz-Orange hat sowohl im Gebäude als auch im Innenhof Tische, was abends zu hören ist. Zu meiner Reisezeit war das kein Problem. Die Einrichtung ist gut gemacht und bietet viel Raum. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, allerdings ohne Kaffeemaschine o.ä.. Der Dachgarten ist toll und mit Tisch und Stühlen ausgestattet. Im näheren Umfeld gibt es reichlich Cafés, Restaurants und Lebensmittelgeschäfte.

When we entered the apartment: a terrible mess: dirty bed -linnen, empty beer bottles, garbage etc.etc. We informed Josty Brauerei Apartments. By mail and by phone. At 17 hrs, 2 hours after our arrival, we could finally enter our apartment. Two cleaning man were busy for over 50 minutes! To give you an impression of the situation. Not a good start of our holiday. Some guy Klaus mailed us, if everything was okay. We explained the situation again, and that we weren't that pleased. He never responded. The apartment was okay. But never ever we want to hire something from Josty Brauerei Apartments. Never an apology, never an excuse. I mean, 175 euro's a night and then starting like this?
