Les Villas Thorel - Gulachi

The property was in a quiet location 5 minutes' walk from a small beach, reasonably close to a supermarket, and an easy drive to the Riviere Noire National Park. There was plenty of space in the apartment with good facilities including a dishwasher and washing machine. There were two seating areas inside and an outside terrace with table and chairs. Akshay who was in charge of the apartment was very responsive when we had any questions or problems. He helped with car hire and taxi service which was very convenient.

There are French windows on the western side without any shading so the apartment became very hot in the afternoon. There was only one ceiling fan in the large living area. We had to ask for a separate pedestal fan, but we still got very hot in the afternoon and evening. Also, there was no separated rubbish system and the collections were erratic, so the sacks tended to accumulate outside.

One leg of sofa is not level. Will need to glue r nail a piece of wood to this leg. Need more wine glasses.

Apartment was exceptional, huge, and so well located. Close to restaurants and supermarket we couldn't have hoped for better.

Road crossing was a challenge, you have to be fast, however you get used to it pretty quickly.

The location, size of the property

Lack of a amenities or poor equipment inside the villas like cutleries, iron or kitchen ustensils. Garden not well maintained. Helper provided not ensuring proper cleanliness of the place.
