Hopewell - Unique Rooms in the heart of Cliftonville

Very lovely house, well decorated, secure and convenient way to get in, tea and water in room, and natural shower products. There were even equipment for Pilates/gym in the room. The hosts were not there this weekend so it was Alan and Ol who welcomed me. Absolutely lovely people, very accommodating and helpful. Had a noise "incident" the last night of my stay because of a rude and inconsiderate guest next to my room. Alan and Ol apologised but it was absolutely not their fault - they were so kind, I really appreciated their concern. Ady (the owner) called me soon after I checked out to apologise as well and kindly offered a partial refund to compensate for the inconvenience. Once again, it was not their fault so I really appreciated this thoughtful gesture. I strongly recommend this place for a stay in Margate.

It is a little bit out of the Margate centre but there are buses and you can easily walk to the centre (20 min). As it's a Victorian house, noise can be tricky but only if the other guests are inconsiderate. The first night was absolutely perfect and quiet, I had a great sleep. One little thing that could make the experience even more pleasant could be to add a few more amenities for us ladies (like cotton pads and shower cap) but that's just a suggestion.

This was a great place to stay. Beautiful house, gorgeous comfy room and lovely bathroom and shower. We were warned that the rooms weren't well soundproofed and free ear plugs were available but we weren't disturbed by other guests. Hosts couldn't have done any more to improve the facilities. We would definitely stay again. Good location, easy to find on road parking. Close to Northview Road with food places to eat particularly Cliffs and the Good Egg. Quiet area. About 15 minutes walk to Margate town. Ideal location.

One of the most beautifully-designed homes I’ve been inside. Looks good in pics — it’s far better in real life. Really comfortable bed and one of the best night’s sleep we’ve had in ages. And the hosts are just wonderful — so kind, communicative and full of fab recommendations.

Hopewell is a beautiful guesthouse that balances stunning design, interesting and fun artwork with a welcoming and homely feel. The owners really have thought of everything from wonderful and eco friendly bathroom products, pilates mats and filtered water. We had a wonderful 2 nights and wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else when we return to Margate. Thank you!
